𝐎𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄: 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑

Dhayfullah Islamic Institute Foundation, Inc. welcomed a new generation of student leaders during its Oath-Taking and Induction Ceremony held on August
20, 2026.

The event brought together newly elected officers from various clubs and student organizations, marking the beginning of their journey as leaders and representatives of their fellow students.

Setting the tone for the ceremony, 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙢 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝘼. 𝙊𝙢𝙖𝙧 emphasized the importance of responsible leadership and sincere service to the school community. Following this, 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙖'𝙖𝙢 𝘼𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙖 𝙎. 𝙊𝙢𝙖𝙧 gave an overview of the program, highlighting the significance of the ceremony as the newly elected officers formally stepped into their responsibilities.

As the program continued, School 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙆𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙙 𝙐. 𝙊𝙢𝙖𝙧 encouraged the student leaders to fulfill their duties with dedication and unity. Carrying the same spirit of service, newly elected 𝙋𝙏𝘾𝘼 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙤 "𝙔𝙪𝙨𝙤𝙥𝙝" 𝙈. 𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙧 emphasized cooperation and shared responsibility among the officers.

Meanwhile, newly elected 𝙎𝙎𝙂 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙣 𝙎. 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙠𝙗𝙖𝙧 stressed the responsibility that comes with representing the student body and encouraged the leaders to remain committed to serving their fellow students.

The ceremony also recognized the outgoing officers for their service and contributions, marking the transition from one set of leaders to the next.

With their new roles officially entrusted to them, the student leaders are now ready to face challenges and turn their promises into meaningful actions.

𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗜 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗗𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 — Carrying the mantle of truth and responsible reporting, An-Naba campus journalists swept major awards at the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) anchored on the theme "𝙑𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨." Demonstrating strong institutional support and school spirit, An-Naba emerged as the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙔𝙚𝙡𝙡 among all competing schools in the division.

Leading the publication's success are six division champions who officially qualified for the upcoming 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 (𝙍𝙎𝙋𝘾). The 2026 Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) officially commenced on September 6, bringing together campus journalists under the theme, “𝐕𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇: 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬.” The first day highlighted the importance of truth, integrity, and responsibility in campus journalism as young journalists gathered to sharpen their skills and put their craft to the test.

The opening activities featured Sir 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐤𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐌. 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐚 as the guest speaker, who shared valuable insights on the role and responsibilities of campus journalists. His message encouraged participants to remain committed to truth and accuracy while using journalism as a platform to inform, serve, and empower their communities.

A mini press conference was also conducted, allowing the participants to experience a press conference setting firsthand. The activity challenged the young journalists to ask relevant questions, listen attentively, and gather information that could be developed into meaningful stories.

Meanwhile, participants competed in various individual categories, showcasing their skills, creativity, and knowledge in their respective journalism disciplines. The competitions tested their ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and responsible reporting.

As Day 1 came to a close, the 2026 DSPC served as more than just a competition. It became an avenue for young journalists to learn, connect, and understand the responsibility that comes with having a voice in the community.

‎Principal Ma'am Aisha Salem Omar, together with the School Registrar Ma’am Jamilah Bangon, conducted the observation and visited the preschool classrooms to see how teachers handled their lessons, interacted with learners, and managed the classroom environment.

‎Throughout the observation, the preschool teachers showed dedication in guiding their learners through various classroom activities. Their efforts reflected the importance of creating a supportive and engaging environment where young learners can participate and develop their skills.

The Elementary Department recently conducted a classroom observation as part of the school’s ongoing initiative to evaluate teaching strategies and foster an engaging learning environment for students.

Principal Ma'am Aisha Salem Omar, together with the administrative staff, personally visited the elementary classrooms to observe lesson delivery, classroom management, and student engagement firsthand.

Demonstrating strong dedication to student development, elementary teachers Teacher Sohaya Ibrahim, Ustadha Asliha Omar, Teacher Haniah Nassif, Teacher Jannah Pundamdag, and Teacher Amerah Abbas led various interactive learning activities. Their efforts highlighted the importance of creating a supportive setting where young learners can actively participate and build core skills.

The observation provided school leadership with valuable insights to identify key strengths and areas for further growth. Through constructive feedback and collaboration, the activity aims to help educators continuously refine their instructional techniques and enhance the overall classroom experience.

The observation in the High School Department was conducted under the leadership of the school principal, Ma’am Aisha Omar. The activity provided an opportunity to observe how teachers conduct their lessons, manage their classrooms, and interact with students.

During the observation, the principal carefully observed the teachers’ practices. She paid attention to how they presented their lessons, communicated with students, managed classroom activities, and encouraged student participation. Her presence emphasized the importance of effective teaching and proper classroom management.

The observation also showed how students responded to the different teaching approaches used by their teachers. Some students actively participated in discussions and activities, while others listened attentively and followed the instructions given. Throughout the observation, the teachers demonstrated patience, preparation, and professionalism.

Dhayfullah Islamic Institute Foundation Inc. recently conducted a Classroom Observation in the Senior High School (SHS) Department as part of the school’s continuous efforts to strengthen teaching practices and promote quality education among its learners.

The classroom observation was led by Principal Aisha Salem Omar, together with Wasima M. Macapagal, who visited selected SHS classrooms to observe the teaching and learning process. The activity provided an opportunity to assess classroom instruction, learner engagement, teaching strategies, and the overall learning environment.

During the observation, the teachers demonstrated their commitment to creating an engaging and meaningful learning experience for students. Learners also actively participated in classroom activities, discussions, and other learning tasks, reflecting the collaborative atmosphere fostered within the SHS Department.

Beyond evaluation, the classroom observation serves as an avenue for professional growth, reflection, and continuous improvement. Through constructive feedback and shared insights, the school aims to further support its teachers and enhance instructional practices for the benefit of every learner.

A two-day Training Workshop on Campus Journalism was held on August 21 and 22, 2026, in Marawi City, gathering aspiring young journalists and campus publication members to strengthen their skills in journalism. The first day was conducted at the Provincial Social Hall, while the second day took place at the APCES Open Gym.

The workshop provided participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills in different areas of campus journalism including news writing, broadcasting, photojournalism, and responsible information gathering. Adding to the event's highlights, Dhayfullah Islamic Institute Foundation Inc., 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, showcasing the creativity and talent of its student broadcasters.

The activity encouraged students to become more confident, observant, and responsible in using their voices to tell stories that matter. Through the training and competition, participants gained experiences that can help them become accurate and credible campus journalists. DIIF's achievement further demonstrated the dedication and creativity of its students in the field of broadcasting, inspiring young journalists to continue developing their skills and using their voices to inform, engage, and serve their school and community.
