At the MSU Marawi Campus Academic Summit 2026, MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P.D. Tago, CPA, delivered a stirring message that serves as a strategic roadmap for the university's future.

In his speech, he called upon all sectors of the MSU community to reject complacency and embrace a culture of immediate action focused on policy alignment, faculty development, and continuous institutional growth. The President highlighted a vision where academic excellence is paired with deep inclusivity, expanding global engagement while remaining rooted in the mandate of fostering peace and development within the Bangsamoro region and beyond.

By establishing a university where diversity is celebrated as a strength and knowledge is utilized for community service, the administration aims to produce globally competitive graduates who actively uplift their communities. Concluding with a strong reminder that MSU’s future is determined not by circumstances but by the deliberate academic choices and reforms initiated today, President Tago rallied the community to firmly establish the institution as a premier National Peace University and a center of transformative leadership.

LOOK | 99.94%: MSU-MCSE ROTC Unit Makes History in First-Ever RAATI

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of Mindanao State University–Main Campus Sindangan Extension (MSU-MCSE) marked a historic milestone after participating for the first time in the ROTC Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) on June 5, 2026, at the Misok Campus in Misok, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. The unit earned an outstanding overall rating of 99.94%, scoring 999.4 out of 1,000 points.

The inspection was led by Chairman Inspector Col Ian Noel P Ignes, ADC RRA, 1ID, PA, together with a team of 12 evaluators who assessed the unit's administrative systems, training management, and tactical capabilities.

In his opening remarks, Campus Director Dr. Florencio D. Recoleto Jr. emphasized that the MSU-MCSE ROTC Unit now stands independently and is no longer affiliated with other schools or entities. He congratulated the officers, personnel, and cadets for reaching the milestone, recognizing the collective effort that made the unit's inaugural RAATI participation possible.

Col Ignes explained that the RAATI serves to evaluate the overall performance, preparedness, and tactical efficiency of ROTC units, with unity among its key indicators. He acknowledged the dedication and guidance of the officials who mentored the unit throughout its preparations and encouraged the cadets to uphold excellence, make meaningful contributions, and consider future service to the nation.

The activity was conducted under the leadership of Col Mandy T Libertino (Arty) Inf PA, MSU-MCSE ROTC Unit Commandant, and 1Lt Rogarciano C Guinggue III PA(Res), University Head Marshall.
With a near-perfect score in its first-ever RAATI appearance, the MSU-MCSE ROTC Unit not only met the standards of inspection but established a remarkable benchmark — reflecting the discipline, commitment, and collective dedication of everyone involved.
