Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Student Teacher Association (STA) from ELC/TTE 197! ๐โจ Under the leadership of our new ELC Coordinator, Prof. Sahiba R. Macacuna, a successful meeting was held on March 15, 2024, to discuss the STA Election. The meeting included a silent prayer and discussions on various roles, culminating in the election of Miss Sittie Hanna A. Sarip as the new STA President for ELC197.
Alhamdulillah, the meeting concluded with great success, and we are excited for the new officers to continue the tradition of excellence set by the previous administration. Here's to a bright and successful term ahead! ๐

On Sunday, April 21, 2024, the Student Teacher Association (STA), under the guidance of their ELC Coordinator, Prof. Sahiba R. Macacuna, organized an Action Research Seminar-Workshop with the theme 'Innovate, Inquire, Impact: Harnessing Action Research for Educational Excellence' at the Amphitheatre, CPA, MSU โ Main Campus, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The program commenced with a recitation of Ayat from the Qurโan by Yasser Bin Ali M. Diongal from BSED English, followed by the singing of the National Anthem through a multimedia presentation. Prof. Sahiba R. Macacuna, the ELC Coordinator, delivered the opening remarks, expressing gratitude to Dr. Minerva-Samina M. Naga, CED Dean, Dr. Norsaliah T. Macauyag, the resource speaker, and all ELC Supervisors for their support. Dr. Minerva-Samina M. Naga shared an inspirational message with the Field Study students and teaching interns, emphasizing the importance of harnessing their potential and embracing the challenges ahead to become excellent teachers.
Prof. Norhayna Eryll M. Unte introduced the resource speaker, Dr. Norsaliah T. Macauyag, who presented valuable insights on selecting action research problems, their characteristics, processes, methods, and formats. A Q&A session followed, allowing participants to engage with the topic. The session concluded with a brief interactive activity led by the resource speaker.
Prof. Monasalam M. Disangcopan delivered closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all involved in organizing the event. She ended with a quote from Herbert Spencer: "The great aim of education is not knowledge but action."
The program concluded with a photo session featuring ELC101/102 and ELC197โs Team Leaders, the Resource Speaker, ELC Coordinator, and ELC Supervisors.
Indeed, the seminar-workshop provided valuable knowledge and insights to the participants, contributing to their professional growth.

On February 28, 2024 the ELC students were sent off by their College Supervisors for their deployment this 2nd semester of AY. 2023-2024. The following are the cooperating schools: MSU-Integrated Laboratory School, MSU-Institute of Science Education, MSU-University Training Center, Sultan Conding Elementary School, Sikap Elementary School, Marawi National High School, Miftahus Salam Integrated Academy, and MSU-ILS Employees' Multi-Purpose Cooprative. MSU-CEd sincerely thank you for your unwavering support to our field study and internship program.

The pinning ceremony with the theme "Empowering the Student Teachers with 3Cs: Character, Competence and Commitment" began with a Processional March of the MSU-Integrated Laboratory School Colours & Guards led by Sir RG Guinggue, the Dean of College, Dr. Minerva-Saminah M. Naga, the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amerkhan G. Cabaro, the Guest Speaker, City Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Anna Zenaida Unte-Alonto, and the ELC Supervisors, and the students with their proud parents.
One of the highlights of the event was the message of the Guest Speaker as she shared that among the 3Cs, Character and Commitment are vital components that an employer is looking for. Hence, one must have a strong dedication and a "heart", in teaching profession. After all, everything could be learned and that competence comes in.
The event ended with reciting the pledge of student teachers. It is a pledge of becoming responsible and committed pre-service teachers as they embark on teaching profession.

LOOK | Outreach Program in Sikap ES
The student teachers (STs) from the College of Education conducted LAKBAY ARAL PROGRAM last December 12, 2023 at SIKAP ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with the theme: "Universal Education, Universal Peace: Advancing Peace through Education"
The program started with an inspirational peace message from the Grade 5 adviser, Faisah B. Macapando, and was followed by the distribution of school supplies and snacks. The beneficiaries enjoyed also the games and activities prepared by the STs.
These games aimed to promote peace and provide them with a deeper understanding on the pivotal role of education in promoting unity, understanding, and peace which starts in their own community.
The program hopes to motivate and create a positive impact on the students' perspectives in life by educating them on the core values of peace and unity. It also aim to encourage critical thinking, open-mindedness, and empathy for others, while promoting the importance of education in building a better and more peaceful society.

The program started with a Zumba dance to energize the beneficiaries. The participants were all the Grade 6 pupils of SCES. The program is aligned with the Children's Month Celebration with the theme: "๐ช๐๐๐๐
