Q: Can cataracts return after surgery?
A: Cataracts cannot return after surgery because the clouded lens is replaced with an artificial one. However, a condition called posterior capsule opacification (PCO) can develop, causing vision to become cloudy again. PCO is treatable with a simple, non-invasive laser procedure.
