One TCC, One Standard. 🌱

Congratulations to our TCC Faculty! Today we closed the Faculty & Academic Leaders Teaching Development Program — five topics delivered across three Fridays, and every certificate earned by showing up and doing the work.

We journeyed together through: How Students Learn & Why OBE, Designing for Outcomes, Active & Experiential Learning, Assessment & Feedback for Learning, and Reflective Practice & Teacher-Leadership — all under our theme, "One TCC, One Standard: Empowering Faculty for Excellence, Integrity, and Service." Lectured by our VPAA, Dr. Arnel V. Bangis.

Our deepest thanks to our Administration and every office that said yes to this program. You gave us the room, the time, and the trust to grow.

But a certificate is not a finish line. 💙 Beginning Monday, this becomes real where it matters most: in our classrooms. Outcomes-aligned syllabi our students can see from day one. Rubrics shared before the task, not after. Lessons where students do, not just listen. Doors open to one another — not to grade, but to grow.

We keep learning, because our dear students deserve nothing less. 💛

You are more than the role you carry today. Wholeness, not perfection, is the direction.
Seek wholeness, and perfection stops being the point.

Session 3 of our Faculty & Academic Leaders Teaching Development Program — Active & Experiential Learning — is done! Today our faculty didn't just listen; they did. Led by our VPAA, Dr. Arnel V. Bangis, we explored how to bring the lecture hall to life and how to turn practicum, labs, and OJT into real, hands-on learning through Kolb's experiential cycle. The energy, the laughter, the raised hands — this is what teaching for outcomes looks like. Two Fridays to go! 💙💛

🎓 ONE TCC, ONE STANDARD: EXCELLENCE BEGINS WITH US ✨

Torres Capitol College, Inc. officially opened School Year 2026–2027 with its 1st Convocation Program and Student Orientation held today, July 3, 2026, at the TCCI Covered Court.

The morning began with a devotional led by our students, followed by a message from our BOT Chairman, Gordon M. Torres, EdL, and the institutional vision and direction from our College President, Dr. Feelin T. Jumamil. Students were oriented on financial responsibilities, clearance and payment procedures, academic policies and standards, OBE classroom policies, academic integrity, credentials and graduation requirements, student discipline, rights and responsibilities, and our student information systems and cybersecurity awareness — capped by an inspirational message from our Executive Vice President, Dr. Fe A. Torres. And of course, the energy went off the charts with the TCC Song Zumba! 💃🕺

From the message of our Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Arnel V. Bangis:

"Our theme says it all: Excellence begins with us. Not with the administration alone. Not with the faculty alone. With us — every student who shows up prepared, every teacher who teaches with heart, every staff member who serves with a smile.

So my challenge to you this school year is simple: Show up. Do the work. Do it honestly. Do it excellently. And remember — four or five years from now, someone will ask you: 'Tell me about yourself.' Your answer to that question begins today."

Swipe through to relive the moments. 📸

Welcome home to TCC, Capitolians! One TCC. One Standard. Excellence begins with us — and it begins today. 💙💛

Day 4 — Befriending the Shadow

What we avoid often holds what we need. Growth hides in the parts of ourselves we'd rather not face.

Day 4 | meaning over chance |

Few things are pure accident. Look closely, and even the detours seem to point somewhere.
Read your life for meaning, and meaning begins to answer.

A Convergence of Dreams & Hope

Not every meeting is by chance. Some are meant to shape our future.

Today, Torres Capitol College opens not only another academic year but also a new chapter filled with hope, purpose, and endless possibilities.
TAGBO '26 is more than a welcome program—it is a panagtagbo, a meaningful convergence where dreams are embraced, hope is renewed, and every Torrenian is reminded that they belong to a community that believes in their potential.

The celebration begins with Registration, followed by Yell Preparation and Presentations, where every college and department proudly showcases its spirit, unity, and identity. Through the Invocation, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the Torres Capitol College Hymn, the community comes together in gratitude, patriotism, and institutional pride as another academic journey officially begins.

The program formally opens with the Opening Remarks of Arnel V. Bangis, DM, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who will welcome the students and set the tone for a year anchored on academic excellence, meaningful learning, and the pursuit of every Torrenian's aspirations.
An inspiring message will then be delivered by Dr. Feelin Torres-Jumamil, DM, RN, College President, whose leadership continues to nurture an institution where dreams are transformed into opportunities and hope becomes a pathway toward success.

Adding color and excitement to the celebration are the intermission performances of the BSIT, BSBA, and BS Criminology students, together with exciting raffle draws, fun-filled games, an energetic Zumba session led by Khun Kurt Serra, LPT, and a Photo Opportunity that captures the memories of this remarkable beginning.
The celebration concludes with the Closing Remarks of Ryan Jade C. Cancercil, MM, CFMS, Director for Student Affairs and Services, reminding everyone that while today's gathering comes to an end, the journey toward one's dreams has only just begun.

TAGBO is more than an event—it is the first step in a shared journey. It is where strangers become classmates, classmates become friends, and dreams begin to take shape through learning, perseverance, and hope.
May TAGBO '26 serve as a reminder that when dreams meet opportunity, hope meets determination, and people come together with purpose, extraordinary journeys begin.
To all new and returning Torrenians, welcome home.
