On June 18, 2026, our school actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) as part of the government's continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience among learners, and school personnel.
The drill commenced with the sounding of the earthquake alarm signal. Upon hearing the alarm, students and teachers immediately performed the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure to protect themselves from potential falling objects and debris during an earthquake.
After the simulated shaking stopped, participants calmly and orderly evacuated to the designated safe assembly areas following established evacuation routes.
The activity aimed to increase awareness and readiness in responding to earthquake emergencies. It also provided an opportunity for the school community to practice proper evacuation procedures, assess preparedness plans, and identify areas for improvement in disaster risk reduction and management.
Through regular earthquake drills, learners and personnel gain valuable knowledge and skills that can help save lives during actual emergencies. Let us continue working together to build a safer and more resilient school community.
Remember: Duck, Cover, and Hold! Be prepared. Stay safe.
