AI Seminar empowers parents, teachers and learners for responsible digital future
In line with the implementation of Division Memorandum No. 210, s. 2026, Lepanto National High School successfully conducted a two-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) Seminar aimed at promoting awareness, responsible use, and practical applications of AI in education.
The first session was held on June 9, 2026, and was attended by parents and teachers. The seminar provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence, its growing influence on education, and its potential benefits and challenges in the digital age.
Resource speakers discussed how AI tools can support teaching and learning, enhance productivity, and assist in communication and information management.
Emphasis was also placed on digital citizenship, ethical AI use, data privacy, and the shared responsibility of parents and educators in guiding learners in the proper use of emerging technologies.
On June 10, 2026, the seminar continued with the participation of learners.
Students were introduced to the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and its role in their daily lives.
Learners were encouraged to use AI responsibly, recognizing it as a tool that supports learning rather than replaces human effort and decision-making.
The two-day activity fostered collaboration among parents, teachers, and learners in embracing technological advancements while maintaining ethical standards and responsible digital behavior.
Through this seminar, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical insights that will help them navigate an increasingly technology-driven world.
The school extends its appreciation to the Schools Division Office, resource speakers, parents, teachers, and learners whose active participation contributed to the success of this meaningful undertaking.
The activity reflects the schoolโs commitment to preparing its stakeholders for the opportunities and challenges presented by Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies.
