CLOSING THE GAP: YOUR DAILY VA Q&A
QUESTION 31:

Q31: My client is not giving me the information I need to do the work. What do I do?

Your client isn't ignoring you. They probably don't know what you actually need.

Or maybe... your message is too vague to act on.

One of the fastest ways to delay a project is sending messages like:
❌ "I need more information."
❌ "Just checking in."

Those messages don't tell the client what to do next.

Professional Operators don't chase.

They create clarity.

Instead of asking for "more information," send a clear, itemized request:
✔ Exactly what you need
✔ What format you need it in
✔ When you need it
✔ What deliverable will be affected if it's delayed

If there's still no response after 48 hours, follow up once and connect the missing information to the project timeline.

You're not being pushy.

You're managing expectations, protecting deadlines, and helping the client keep the project moving.

Clear communication isn't just a soft skill. It's an operator skill.

Minsan, hindi naman talaga unresponsive ang client. Hindi lang malinaw ang hinihingi natin.

At doon nagsisimula ang maraming delays.

Isa sa mga karaniwang pagkakamali ng mga VA ay ang mag-send ng message na tulad nito:
❌ "Kailangan ko pa ng impormasyon."
❌ "Just checking in."

Ang problema, hindi nito sinasabi sa client kung ano mismo ang kailangan niyang gawin.

Ang isang mahusay na Operator ay hindi lang basta nagfo-follow up.

Nagbibigay siya ng malinaw na direksyon.

Sa halip na generic na request, sabihin nang malinaw:
✔ Ano mismo ang kailangan mo
✔ Anong format ang kailangan
✔ Kailan mo ito kailangan
✔ At anong deliverable ang maaapektuhan kapag na-delay

Kung wala pa ring sagot pagkalipas ng 48 oras, mag-follow up nang isang beses at ipakita kung paano naaapektuhan ng delay ang project timeline.

Hindi ka nangungulit.

Minamanage mo ang project at tinutulungan mong manatiling on track ang trabaho.

Sa huli, ang malinaw na communication ay hindi lang magandang ugali.
