ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 14

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 126, government offices are directed to shift to appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 14, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal
📍 Laguna
📍 Quezon
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall likewise be implemented in these areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Saturday, August 8, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Tropical Depression Maymay.

According to the MCDRRMD, the latest weather models and rainfall outlook from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicate continued rainfall tomorrow, with intensity ranging from light to moderate, at times heavy.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

The PUP International Relations Office (IRO) is now accepting applications for the BINUS University Spring Semester 2027 Exchange Program!

📅 Application Period: July 27 – August 24, 2026
📍 Program Duration: February 2027 – July 2027
🇮🇩 Host Institution: BINUS University, Indonesia

✅ Requirements:
• Letter of Intent addressed to the PUP International Relations Office (IRO)
• Endorsement Letter addressed to the IRO, written by the Chairperson and signed by the Dean
• Latest Copy of Grades
• Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:
• Undergraduate student enrolled in a program aligned with those offered at BINUS University (see QR code for available programs)
• Has completed at least two (2) semesters at PUP
• Possesses a valid passport
• In good academic standing

All application requirements must be submitted online through the provided QR code. Please refer to the pubmat for complete details and application instructions.

Students who successfully pass the initial screening and selection process at PUP will be officially nominated by the PUP International Relations Office (IRO) to BINUS University for final consideration and admission to the exchange program.

| Following the recent announcement of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 in PUP campuses and academic extension programs located in the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro are hereby 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 on 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, due to inclement weather brought about by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Please note that this advisory may be updated based on subsequent announcements issued by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and the respective Local Government Units (LGUs).

For 4-7 August Stub Holders
Your ID picture-taking will take place at the PUP Gymnasium. You may arrive as early as 7:00 AM.

For 10 August Stub Holders
All students with an ID Processing stub originally scheduled on
10 August are rescheduled to 11 August onwards. Please proceed at Room 204, Charlie Del Rosario Building, PUP Sta. Mesa.

Kindly present the following upon entry:
• Route and Approval Sheet (RAS Form)
• Certificate of Registration (COR)
• Original ID Processing Stub
