A milestone moment for open distance and elearning!

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Open University System (PUP OUS) proudly takes the global stage as it is officially confirmed to host the 39th Asian Association of the Open Universities (AAOU) Conference this October in Manila — a historic first for PUP.

This significant achievement is marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between distinguished leaders in open and distance education: AAOU President and Open University of China President Dr. Wang Qiming, AAOU Secretary General Fan Xianrui, PUP President Dr. Manuel M. Muhi, and PUPOUS Executive Director Dr. Rudolf Anthony A. Lacerna.

As PUP continues to champion innovation and expand access to quality education, hosting AAOU 2026 reinforces its commitment to empowering learners beyond borders and shaping the future of open learning in Asia and beyond.

Together, we open more doors, create more opportunities, and build a brighter future for all.

📢 Application Extended!

The application period for PUPCETOUS will be extended from April 12, 2026, and will resume from April 20 to April 30, 2026.

PUPCETOUS is intended for applicants who:

- Are enrolling in college for the first time;
- Are fresh graduates of Senior High School or High School (Old Curriculum);
- Have completed the Alternative Learning System (ALS) with Admission for College remarks; or
- Have passed the Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPTEST).

Meanwhile, the application period for PUPSAETOUS has been extended until April 30, 2026.

PUPSAETOUS is open to applicants who:

- Are transferees or college undergraduates;
- Are graduates or undergraduates of TESDA formal education; or
- Have completed or partially completed 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year vocational courses.

Nagpatupad na rin ng flexible work arrangements ang Office of the Vice President bilang tugon sa direktiba ng administrasyon para sa energy conservation sa gitna ng tensyon sa Middle East.

Ayon sa OVP, magpapatupad sila ng four-day onsite work at isang araw na work-from-home arrangement.

Magiging bukas sa publiko ang tanggapan ng Bise Presidente mula Lunes hanggang Huwebes, alas-8 ng umaga hanggang alas-5 ng hapon.
