From centuries-old pages to the digital age.

The SITE community proudly celebrates Fr. Gaspar Sigaya, O.P., whose remarkable work continues to preserve our history while making it accessible for generations to come. Your dedication continues to inspire us! 💚

A need for a Filipino Dominican trained to preserve historical records led Fr. Gaspar Sigaya, O.P. into archival work, a vocation that would eventually take him to Rome as the first Filipino general archivist of the Order of Preachers before bringing him back to UST to help safeguard centuries of Philippine history.

ADVISORY ON THE USE OF THE UST NAME, SEAL, AND LOGO BY STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS | September 1, 2026

The Office for Student Affairs (OSA) reminds all student organizations to observe University policies on organizational recognition and the responsible use of the University’s name, seal, logo, and other identifying marks.

Under the UST Student Handbook, the name “University of Santo Tomas” or “UST,” and its registered seal, may not be used unless duly authorized by the Office of the Secretary-General (OSG) and duly processed through the pertinent University offices.

Accordingly, organizations or groups that are not included in the official list of recognized student organizations for A.Y. 2026–2027, including those with pending or incomplete applications, should refrain from using the official UST seal, logo, name, or other University marks in a manner that may imply official recognition, accreditation, endorsement, or authorization by the University. This prohibition applies to social media pages and posts, publicity and event materials, registration forms, correspondence, sponsorship materials, merchandise, organizational documents, and other printed or digital materials.

Duly recognized organizations are encouraged to help preserve and promote the University’s identity by securing the appropriate authorization before using the UST name, seal, logo, or other identifying marks, consistent with applicable laws and University policies.

Student organizations that may need guidance on their recognition status or the proper use of University marks are welcome to coordinate with OSA.

We appreciate your cooperation in upholding the integrity of the University’s identity.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose courage became a turning point in our nation’s history.🎗️

As we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day, may we be reminded that freedom, truth, and democracy are not only remembered, but lived through the choices we make and the values we uphold each day.
