Explore the behavior, degradation, and simulation of composite materials, starting from 3D printing and extending to conventional aerospace-grade manufacturing.

This multi-session technical seminar is designed for students, researchers, and engineers interested in composite materials, additive manufacturing, and simulation-based analysis. Topics include anisotropy, process-property relationships, process-induced degradation, and modeling techniques beyond the Finite Element Method (FEM), such as the Spring Element Model (SEM).

On the 18th of November headed by the CEO, officials from FEATI University visited Tohoku University and made a brief tour around Sendai. They were given a Laboratory tour by Professor Kawagoe and met with Prof. Okabe the head of the lab.

Currently, the head of our Department is pursuing his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the said Lab and University.
