It’s amazing to think that you’ve only been training for 2 months. You’ve improved so much in such a short time, even winning the championship at our first Ruy Lopez:Next Gen Tournament!

He is now a 2x CHAMPION in the Kiddies Division (11 & Under). After securing the title at the 12th HubzStar last June 29, 2025, he has once again taken the top spot at the 17th HubzStar! 💛

Congratulations to Zion Arthur Ceñdana for his performance at CSAL - Season 22 Chess 13U Boys! (March 14, 2026)

He represented VCIS Team C and helped secure 2nd Place for the team. Zion also earned a Silver Medal on Board 1 with a solid score of 3.5/4 points.

Congratulations to Marco Piolo Sanido for his performance at the Robinsons Bacolod Chess Festival! 🏆

He traveled all the way to Bacolod for the experience and took home awards in two categories:

13 & Under: 4th Place (5.5/7 points)
17 & Under: 9th Place

We are so incredibly proud of every single student who stepped up to the board today! Competing in The Ruy Lopez: Next Gen Tournament took a lot of courage and focus, and we loved seeing everyone’s hard work on display at our Tandang Sora branch.
