We could have fielded them on their own.
There was no need to participate as a team.
And frankly, I thought I have retired from coaching already.
But it is a different experience when one is part of a team and I want the kids to say someday they were part of one.
A legendary one at that.
One of the moms said, "Iba yung pakiramdam na naririnig mo na ina-announce nila ang pangalan ng team natin."
We maybe a small team now.
But this team is strong.
Resilient.
Mentally tough.
Maraming maraming salamat sa mga magulang na nagtiwala at sumuporta.
Homeschooling parents are a different breed.
Homeschooling/Swim parents are a category all on their own.
I salute you all.
Congratulations to all our swimmers who gave their very best.
In my book, you are all podium finishers.
So, starting today. Remember the name.
Remember the TRITONS.
