📚✨ SALT 2026: Serving and Learning Together in Catholic Schools ✨📚

Last May 26, 2026, Rafaelian school administrators participated in the training entitled SALT (Serving and Learning Together) in Catholic Schools held at the Jaime Cardinal Sin Hall of St. Joseph School of Gagalangin.

The gathering became a meaningful opportunity for Catholic school leaders to strengthen collaboration, deepen their commitment to Catholic education, and reflect on their shared mission of service and leadership. 💙🙏

Through learning and fellowship, administrators reminded that true leadership in Catholic schools is rooted in faith, compassion, and the commitment to form learners who live in Truth, Justice, and Love. ✨

This week, the Rafaelian Faculty participated in a week-long In-Service Training aimed at strengthening professional growth, faith formation, and readiness for the new school year. 💙

📍 May 18–19 | PLC for Rafaelian Faculty
“Walking Together in Faith and Learning: Effective Teaching Strategies for Catholic School Students” - A collaborative learning session focused on enhancing teaching practices grounded in Catholic education and the Rafaelian mission.

📍 May 20 | MCS
🧠 "To Each Their Own: Understanding Silent Battles: Recognizing and Responding to Su***de Warning Signs” (AM Session) facilitated by Ms. Angelica Amorato, this session equipped teachers with awareness and strategies in supporting mental health and student well-being.

⚖️ "Legal Awareness: Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers” (PM Session) presented by Ms. Ludielyn C. Bautista, JD, highlighting ethical responsibilities and professionalism in the teaching vocation.

📍 May 21
💻 Faculty Training on Quipper Utilization (MCS), to strengthening teachers’ skills in maximizing digital learning tools for effective instruction.

📖 Training for the New SRA Power Builder (ESPS Grade School)with Dr. Bryan Gallos as speaker, focusing on literacy development and assessment enhancement.

🙏 Seminar for CLEd Teachers (ESPS Annex), a formation session for Christian Living Education teachers in strengthening faith-based instruction.

🎓 SHS Faculty Training for SSHS Curriculum“: Understanding the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum", an orientation and discussion on the updated SHS curriculum, with Dr. Bryan Gallos, as one of the concurrent session speakers.

Announcement on the SHS Voucher Program Application

The application for the SHS Voucher Program for incoming Grade 11 students in SY 2026-2027 will open soon.

Please be informed that the Department of Education, through Department Order No. 11, s. 2026, instituted some changes on the eligibility of applicants starting SY 26-27. You may access the full text of DO 11 through this link: https://www.deped.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/DO_s2026_011r.pdf.

In preparation for the opening of the online application, the PEAC is issuing preliminary information to guide learners and parents as to who are eligible, what are the categories of applicants, where to apply based on the category, how to apply through Online Voucher Application Portal (OVAP), and what documents need to be submitted (Step 5).

We shall announce the opening of the application via OVAP as soon as DepEd releases the application timeline.
