𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐘 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄? 📊

Ever wondered why the number of winning College Representatives differs per college? It all comes down to one principle—proportional representation.

In accordance with 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗜𝗜, 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗟𝗠 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the number of College Representatives is based on the total student population of each college.

Each college is entitled to:
• 𝗢𝗻𝗲 (𝟭) 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 for the first 500 students or less
• 𝗢𝗻𝗲 (𝟭) 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 for every succeeding 500 students
• An additional representative may also be granted for a 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗼𝗳 (at least 251 students)

Based on the official college population data derived from the Office of the University Registrar (OUR), here is the allocation of College Representatives:
• 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 (𝟰𝟱𝟲)– 1 Representative
• 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝟯𝟲𝟱) – 1 Representative

The PLM Student Commission on Elections proudly presents the 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 of the 𝗣𝗟𝗠 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Out of 𝟵,𝟲𝟱𝟮 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, a 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝟱,𝟵𝟬𝟮 Haribons cast their vote—resulting in a strong 𝟲𝟭.𝟭𝟱% 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁. This surpasses last year’s 56.07% turnout, marking a notable 5% increase in student participation.

This year’s turnout reflects the growing commitment of the Pamantasan community to uphold democratic participation and meaningful student representation. The Commission extends its deepest appreciation to the entire student electorate—your decision to vote is a powerful expression of both your voice and responsibility.

Through your participation, student governance is strengthened, ensuring that representation remains grounded in the will of the people.

The Commission is currently conducting the official tallying and verification of all submitted votes to ensure an accurate, transparent, and credible election process.
