Ating tahakin ang landas ng pagbabago at ating isiwalat ang katotohanan sa likod ng ating anatomiya. Ang Anatomiya ng Pag-ibig ay isang mapanghamong dula na nagsisilbing laboratoryo ng lipunan. Sa pamamagitan ng sining ng pagtatanghal, sinusuri nito ang "loob" ng pag-ibig—hindi bilang isang emosyon lamang, kundi bilang isang panlipunang puwersa.

Hulagway Productions, the production arm of the Bachelor of Performing Arts 1-2, will participate in this year’s 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹: 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁. The festival is held annually and brings together performing groups and theatre organizations from across the region.

Grounded in the theme 𝘔𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵, which calls for awareness and critical engagement, the festival urges artists not to remain blind to unfolding realities nor deaf to their own stories, but to awaken and provoke consciousness by rejecting indifference and taking a stand through performance.

Their official entry is 𝘿𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙮, a play written and directed by theatre faculty member 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴. Representing the section are student-artists 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘃𝗶𝗲 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗶, 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗜. 𝐏𝐔𝐏 𝐃𝐏𝐞𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐒𝐈𝐒 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐀𝐃 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬

Recently, students from the PUP Department of Performing Arts (DPeA) collaborated with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) through its Gender and Development (GAD) Committee in producing a series of GAD-related video projects.

PUP DPeA students served as actors in the project, namely: Allexis Yumang, Myx Cayabyab, Lianah Mangi, Kelly Burcia, Paul Cariaga, Tris De Andres, Tess Analyn Marasigan, Cass Agad, Princes Janine Palma, Mark Laniog, and Dave Del Socorro.

The videos address various aspects of workplace bullying while raising awareness on issues such as microaggressions and toxic behaviors, and their impact on both employees and management. The project also encourages empathy, accountability, and reflection within the workplace.

The GAD Video Project is expected to roll out in 2026 through various GSIS channels.

We sincerely thank the GSIS GAD Committee for collaborating with PUP DPeA in producing these meaningful projects.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧!

The graduating students of the Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPeA) program are set to stage their creative theses this May 2026, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for PEAR 403 – Theater Recital: Production and Documentation, under the mentorship of Mr. Joseph Victor D. Deseo and Asst. Prof. Davidson G. Oliveros as their thesis advisers.

These creative theses explore the methodology of Performance-as-Research (PaR), emphasizing the integration of critical theories in developing their creative projects. Each creative thesis serves as both an artistic and academic endeavor where students engage in rigorous processes of inquiry, experimentation, and reflection.

As a testament to the progress and development of the creative practice of the department, these do not only highlight the students’ artistic competencies but also to contribute to ongoing conversations in contemporary performance-making, cultural discourse, and practice-based research in the Sintang Paaralan, Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

This showcase of creative theses is presented in collaboration with BPeA 2-2 students, who served as the production management staff as part of their final requirement for PEAR 209: Production Management.

𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐏𝐞𝐀 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐍𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐮𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗹, a production group of the PUP Department of Performing Arts (DPeA) composed of Bachelor of Performing Arts 3-3 students, proudly represented the department at Pista Nin Teatro, held in Legazpi City, Albay.

Pista nin Teatro is a prominent Bikolnon theatre festival featured in the Tanghal Lusong National Theater Festival, celebrating regional excellence in performance and cultural exchange. Among its highlights was the festival opening last March 4, 2026, staged at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation. The event showcased outstanding regional productions and fostered collaborations with cultural organizations such as Sining Banwa and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

As part of its festival participation, Teatro Dalubral staged 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗨𝗟𝗢 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗦 by Eljay Castro Deldoc, under the supervision of faculty mentor Ron H. Biñas. The play follows five individuals whose lives intersect at the threshold between life and death, with each character confronting a final moment shaped by personal histories, fractured relationships, and unresolved truths.

Beyond their performance, Teatro Dalubral also made meaningful contributions to the festival by actively participating in and facilitating curated theatre workshops, strengthening artistic exchange and regional engagement.
