CITHM students embark on an immersive city tour of Singapore—exploring how a global city champions the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in hospitality, tourism, and urban life.

Eight SDGs are identified as naturally aligning with Singapore's character and a hospitality/tourism curriculum.
Four tour stops are linked to specific SDG goals, including 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐲 (SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities), 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 (SDG 8 – Economic Growth and Decent Work), 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 (SDG 17 – Cultural Heritage & Partnership), and 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 (SDG 14 – Marine Conservation Awareness/Life Below Water).

The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management recently organized an educational city tour in Hong Kong for its students.

The tour provided firsthand exposure to the city’s integrated tourism and hospitality landscape, including landmark sites, urban transport systems, and cultural districts. Through guided visits and on-site observations, students gained practical insights into destination management, visitor experience design, and the interplay between tradition and modernity in a global tourism hub.

This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to experiential learning and to preparing future professionals with the knowledge and perspective required in the international tourism and hospitality industry.
