Our STEMvestigators did not only solve the enigma, they embraced the wonder of mystery and the arduous path towards its discovery. As we celebrate the annual Earth Day, may we all be reminded that how we treat the Earth today will shape our future, and realize that we are the caretakers of this planet—so stepping up and advocating for it is a duty not of one, but of all.

Everyone can and must be part of the movement for positive change, and we can do it through the choices we make and the goals we have, which will ultimately reflect the future that we’ve been aiming to achieve. From the laughter to the care that we constantly provide to our loved ones, and to our unending genuine treatment—these are reflections of who we truly are.

In the same way we treat people, let us treat Earth as a gem. Let our words echo through our actions, and let every day be a moment of kindness. Every action—small or big—matters. Even making efforts to reduce our footprint makes a big difference.

𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗔 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 💡
𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰? Astigmatism is caused by an irregularly-shaped cornea. People with astigmatism often find themselves in situations that feel familiar yet distorted, because no matter the distance, their vision is out of focus. The main reason for this is that the cornea, or the clear, outer surface of the eye, is shaped like a football instead of the normally spherical structure of an emmetropic eye. When the eye is round, it gains the ability to control the amount of light that enters, making one’s vision clearer. However, if the eye has an irregular shape, the light that enters is unevenly distributed, making it challenging for a person to see things clearly.

So, if things are getting blurry, don’t just watch the time—do something for your eyes! Consult an optometrist. Baka this time, makukulayan na ulit ang mundo mo... at baka magkaroon na rin ng kabuluhan ang salitang “kayo”—kung unti-unti nang lilinaw ang mga mata mo. 💘
