Look Around You. The Evidence is Already Here.

We don’t need to search far and wide for proof of God. Romans 1:20 reminds us that His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen in everything He created. Every sunrise, every ecosystem, and the sheer majesty of the universe speak His name.

But creation, as powerful as it is, only shows us that God exists. It reveals our need for Him, but it doesn't share the cure.

That’s why God sent something far greater than general revelation—He sent Jesus Christ.

Creation points to the Creator, but the Gospel delivers the Savior.

We can read the same Bible…
and still walk away with very different conclusions.

Why?

Sometimes, we come to Scripture already carrying our traditions, experiences, preferences, and assumptions—and without realizing it, we begin asking the Bible to confirm what we already believe.

But faithful Bible study asks a harder question:

“What did the biblical author actually intend to communicate?”

Before asking, “What does this verse mean to me?”
we must first ask, “What did this text mean in its context?”

Because Scripture is not ours to reshape.
We are the ones who must allow Scripture to reshape us.

When church challenges are swept under the rug instead of being handled with care and discernment, standard concerns can easily spiral into cons—pretense, hypocrisy, or broken trust.

Our hearts ache with the news coming out of Kumamoto yesterday. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake has left devastation, and our thoughts are with every single person whose world has been shaken.
