ACTIVITY: Executive Course in Structural Equational Modeling (SEM) in Modifying and Theory Testing (September 2-6, 2024 )

The last course under the RMO Growth, Understanding, Inspiring Development, and Empowering (GUIDE) Program is the Executive Course in Structural Equational Modeling (SEM) in Modifying and Theory Testing held on September 2-6, 2024, at the Ating Tahanan National Program and Training Center, South Dr. Camp John Hay, Baguio City, Benguet. The activity aimed to gain insights into different research methodologies for testing theories, understand the role of hypotheses in research design and learn practical tips for data analysis and interpretation using freeware such as JASP and JAMOVI. Sixty (60) faculty members from different colleges and campuses attended and completed the course, led by Prof. Jerome Buhay of the Strategic One Business Management Consultancy Firm.

Participants who completed the training courses will receive a certificate of completion that is a valuable addition to their professional portfolio, showcasing their commitment to continuous learning and skill development. Further, they are expected to produce high-quality research papers in the future. A mentorship program likewise will be initiated to connect the participants with experienced researchers and academicians to provide ongoing guidance, advice, and support as the participants progress in their research endeavors.

We congratulate the participants who participated and completed the RMO GUIDE Program 2024.

ACTIVITY: Executive Course in Questionnaire Design and Data Analysis

On July 23-25, 2024, selected faculty members from different colleges and campuses joined the 3-day Executive Course in Questionnaire Design and Data Analysis held at Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Tagaytay City.

This comprehensive workshop delves into the core principles of developing precise surveys. Over three days, participants will gain expertise in the first two critical stages of any survey project: project management and instrument (or questionnaire) design. The course covers essential topics such as questionnaire design, sampling techniques, and ensuring the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. This executive course suits various survey projects, including customer/client satisfaction surveys, employee surveys, member surveys, and market research surveys.

The activity is the second course under the RMO Growth, Understanding, Inspiring Development, and Empowering (GUIDE) Program. It aimed to identify what questions to ask on the survey questionnaire, write effective survey questions that generate more valid, actionable data, select the proper survey question format to meet your research needs, design interval rating survey scales, including popular Likert-type scales, and avoid common mistakes when you create survey questions that can corrupt the data. The training was led by Prof. Jerome Buhay of the Strategic One Business Management Consultancy Firm.
