Hello, Batchmates!

Last Friday (March 22) marked the culmination of our batch’s collective efforts in the past year: the official turnover of our monetary donation to the MSHS Alumni Foundation, as well as the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the MSHS Alumni Legacy Park.

Our homecoming committee head Dr. Marj Huerte handed the cermonial cheque amounting to 1.2 Million Pesos to Ms Luz Lorenzo (Treasurer, MSHS Alumni Foundation), Dr. Roland Dela Cruz - (MaSci Principal) and Ms. Abbie Cacapit (MaSci Faculty - Alumni Foundation Coordinator).

Also in attendance were members of our Batch 1998 Silver Jubilee Committee, Alumni Foundation Board of Trustees and donors from across all MaSci batches (some from batch 1973, the golden jubilarians!)

There is an abundance of thanks and kudos to go around, especially to those who have given their support so generously, in more ways than one. We have good reason to be proud of what we accomplished here, but more importantly - may this inspire us to continue the legacy of paying-it-forward in the succeeding years!

The ATOM Awards was started in October 2013 as a highlight of MaSci’s Golden Jubilee (50th Year) celebration where 50 alumni were inducted as ATOM Awardees. It has its roots in the very first Alumni Awards conferred in March 1977 on five distinguished MaSci graduates: men and women with notable achievements in their chosen fields, deemed ideal role models worthy of emulation for the current crop of MaScians.
