Pre-Ramadhan Fun and Learning Adventure, Wildlife, Heritage and Farm Exploration

TMLC held its yearly educational trip before the start of the holy month of Ramadhan. It was an exhilarating yet fun learning adventure for the entire TMLC family, with learners, parents, guardians, and friends sharing the joy and experience of the out-of-town activity.

Right after fajr, filled with excitement and anticipation, learners and guardians trooped to the Maharlika Blue Mosque area, where the buses were waiting to bring everyone to the learning destinations.

Along the way, everyone was treated to historical and factual accounts of what to expect during the day. At first, learners were nonchalant about the information provided because of the rather early travel. But somehow, they began to regain their focus, and everything soon became exciting to them. Sharing in the fun were parents and guardians who participated in games aboard the bus, making the long travel even more enjoyable for the learners.
The first destination was the Mulberry Farm, where everyone was treated to the experience of picking mulberry fruits straight from the trees and savoring their sweet and sour taste.

At the Pamintuan Mansion, participants reveled in the glory of the past amidst antique artifacts and glimpses of everyday life from a bygone era. This gave everyone a deeper appreciation of the lives of illustrious Filipinos of that time.

The highlight of the trip was the Zoobic Safari where everyone experienced the flora and fauna of the Philippines. The walking trail brought the participants to the presence of exotic animals with the help of ever-present tour guides, constantly guiding the participants along the way. The exciting part is the caged-vehicle experience where tigers roam the jungle and people stay in the cage vehicles and feed them, giving them a close experience with them.

The out-of-town learning adventure was capped with a visit to Puregold Duty Free were parents and guardians did some shopping and took advantage of tax free imported goods.

Hence, the tour was more than just a field trip, the experience enhanced the knowledge not only of learners, but also the parents, guardians, and friends, reminding everyone that learning goes beyond the four walls of the classroom. Indeed, it was a day of learning, adventure, and togetherness that the entire TMLC family will fondly remember.

Salat'ul Dohr in TMLC

At noon each day, the TMLC library transforms into a musallah as learners perform salah in jama‘a—strengthening their deen and nurturing consistency in prayer, the most important pillar of Islam. From wudu (ablution) to the actual salah (prayer), learners independently carry out each step as part of their holistic learning experience.

This practice also provides an opportunity to reinforce their lessons in Islamic Values and the Arabic Language, as they regularly memorize verses from the Qur’an. Learners also take turns serving as imam, fostering confidence, leadership, and responsibility in worship.

Fun & Learning Adventure, South of TMLC!

TMLC learners and their families enjoyed a fun-filled day as they embarked on an exciting learning adventure together. Right after Fajr prayers, participants gathered at the Blue Mosque area, where two large buses awaited to take them on a day of exploration and discovery.
The first stop was Palm Coast Adventure in Parañaque, where they engaged with interactive gadgets and immersive sensory projections, bringing science and technology to life at their fingertips. Children had the opportunity to release their energy through physical activities blended with the wonders of science and technology.

From there, the group traveled to the Catsup Museum in Cabuyao, Laguna. There, students gained insight into the fascinating process of catsup-making, from harvesting to bottling and labeling. The museum also pays tribute to Maria Orosa, a pioneering Filipina scientist known for inventing banana catsup.

The most exciting and memorable was at The Fun Farm at Santa Elena (also in Cabuyao, Laguna), where participants enjoyed hands-on nature experiences, farm activities, and outdoor adventures such as horseback riding, mini zip line, rope climbing, animal feeding, carabao-cart riding, boat-riding, suspended swings. Kids find joy in merely running around the spacious farm while some simply savored the feel of nature in well-appointed tents. It’s an ideal ambience to perform duhr prayers, individually or thru jama’a.

To cap the adventure, they visited the Gardenia plant and saw for themselves the production of bread untouched by human hands. Many did not miss the pasalubong items at the Gardenia store at discounted prices.
