Pride Month 2026 Webinar

โ€œBe the Safe Space: Building Affirming Lasallian Communities for Every Identityโ€
June 10, 2026 (Wednesday)
3:00 PM โ€“ 4:30 PM
Via Zoom

Resource Speaker:
Ms. Remedios C. Moog, RGC, RPm, CSCOP
University Counselor and LGBTQI+ Anchor Counselor

In celebration of Pride Month, this webinar aims to promote inclusive and affirming spaces within the Lasallian community while equipping students with practical knowledge and skills to support diverse identities. Participants will explore LGBTQIA+ identities through the SOGIESC framework and gain a deeper understanding of how everyday interactions can influence experiences of inclusion, belonging, stigma, and minority stress.

The session will also introduce the P.R.I.D.E. A.C.T. Toolkit, a practical framework inspired by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and PERMA well-being, designed to help students move from awareness to intentional action. Through reflection and real-life applications, participants will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create safer spaces and contribute to a more inclusive and affirming Lasallian community.

Join us in celebrating Pride Month by learning how we can all become safe spaces where every identity is respected, valued, and affirmed.

01/06/2026

To be safer is to help cultivate environments where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

To be stronger is to recognize that our community becomes more resilient, humane, and inclusive when we stand together in solidarity and care.

To be prouder is to affirm the beauty, dignity, and humanity of every individual and to create spaces where people are empowered to live authentically, freely, and without fear.

Happy Pride Month, everyone! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month last March, LCIDWell invited the community to a bracelet-making activity, which offered participants the opportunity to thoughtfully create statement bracelets to gift themselves and their loved ones. This simple act of creativity and appreciation honored the strength, resilience, and impact of women in our communities. Ms. Carmel Puertollano joined us as our resource person and shared tips on crafting personalized bracelets.

This activity also gave employees from the Manila and Laguna campuses a midday break from work to rest, recharge, and connect with friends and colleagues in the university.

Menstrual health is a human dignity, health, and inclusion issue. ๐Ÿฉธ

LCIDWell invites the community to join Bleeding Globally: Redefining Menstrual Equity, Health Agency, and Gender Inclusivity as we continue fostering conversations that challenge stigma, strengthen body literacy, and advocate for safe, inclusive, and period-friendly spaces for all.

Let us continue working toward a community where menstrual health is recognized, respected, and accessible.

We hope to see you there. ๐Ÿ’š

2026 International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersex Discrimination, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Today, we celebrate all mothers and mother figures, caregivers, and nurturers whose love, strength, and steadfast care continue to shape our lives, families, and communities. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you for the visible and invisible ways you give love, guidance, protection, and support each day. Your presence makes a meaningful difference, often in quiet moments, yet with lasting impact.

This day is a celebration of you and the many ways you embody care and strength. It also reminds us that love, compassion, and kindness are values we can all share with one another, reflecting the spirit you so deeply embody.

To all who nurture with love and dedication, you are deeply valued and truly appreciated, today and always. โœจ

Honoring 89 years of womenโ€™s suffrage, celebrating the voices that paved the way, and reaffirming our commitment to equality, inclusion, and safe spaces for all. ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

: On April 30, 1937, Filipino women won the right of suffrage through a herstoric national plebiscite, with 447,725 (90%) voting โ€œYes,โ€ surpassing the required 300,000 votes.

To honor this milestone and sustain its democratic spirit, a day was set aside for Filipino women to renew their advocacy and commitment to clean, honest, and free elections and to pursue these efforts with greater zeal. In 1984, Proclamation No. 2346 declared April 30 of every year as Woman Suffrage Day to encourage continued advocacy for electoral integrity.

As we mark the 89th anniversary of this milestone, we are reminded that while women have gained the right to vote, the work toward true gender equality continuesโ€”especially in ensuring more women are empowered and represented in decision-making spaces. There can be no full democracy if half of the population remains underrepresented.

To all Filipino voters, especially women: our foremothers fought for and won this rightโ€”let us continue to use it responsibly. Let us choose leaders who are guided by competence, integrity, and a strong commitment to gender equality and womenโ€™s empowerment.

Let us exercise this right freely, wisely, and meaningfully.

On April 17, 2019, Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act was enacted to address gender-based sexual harassment in public settings, workplaces, schools, and online platforms. It strengthens protection mechanisms and promotes a culture of accountability and respect in every setting.

Seven years later, the call remains the same. Makibahagi, manindigan, at kumilos. Together, let us make safe spaces a daily reality for all.

๐Ÿ“– SAINT OF THE DAY
St. John Baptist de La Salle

During this Easter Octave, we are reminded that the light of the Resurrection is meant to be lived and shared.

St. John Baptist de La Salle gave up wealth and status to serve the young, especially the poor and forgotten. Through his vocation, he transformed education into a mission of faith, forming not only minds but souls.

His legacy continues today in every teacher who serves with love and leads others closer to Christ.

๐Ÿ™ St. John Baptist de La Salle, patron of teachers, pray for us.

Follow us for more Catholic content that nurtures your faith each day.

07/04/2026

In remembrance of the transitus of St. John Baptist de La Salle, we pause not only to honor his life, but to renew our commitment to the values he so deeply lived, particularly inclusion, compassion, and the dignity of every person.

De La Salleโ€™s vision of education was rooted in the belief that every learner, especially those most vulnerable, deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. His legacy challenges us to go beyond access, and to intentionally build communities where all can belong and thrive.

As a Lasallian community, may we continue to embody this spirit by fostering spaces that are safe, inclusive, and grounded in respect, where diversity is embraced, voices are uplifted, and each person is affirmed in their worth. ๐Ÿ’š
