In celebration of the upcoming Annual University Recognition Ceremony, the League of Student Organizations (LSO) officially reopens the Search for the Outstanding Student Leader (OSL) and Outstanding Student Club (OSC) for Academic Year 2025–2026.

Pursuant to LSO Memorandum No. 001, s. 2026, the previously posted 2026 Revised Guidelines and Criteria have been withdrawn. Accordingly, the Search shall now proceed under the Academic Year 2024–2025 Guidelines and Criteria, ensuring a fair, practical, and accessible application process for all aspiring student leaders and Accredited Clubs and Student Organizations (ACSO).

Applicants who have already submitted their applications or documentary requirements under the withdrawn guidelines do not need to restart their application. Previously submitted documents shall remain valid whenever applicable, and applicants will only be requested to submit any additional or replacement requirements, if necessary, to comply with the reinstated Academic Year 2024–2025 Guidelines and Criteria. This ensures that no applicant is disadvantaged by the transition to the reinstated guidelines.

Although the reinstated Academic Year 2024–2025 Guidelines and Criteria do not prescribe a specific mode of submission, the League of Student Organizations shall continue implementing the paperless submission system to provide a more efficient, organized, and accessible application process.

Applicants are required to compile all documentary requirements into a well-organized Google Drive folder and submit the corresponding folder link through the official Google Forms. Hard copy submissions shall not be required unless otherwise requested by the OSL-OSC Committee or the concerned University office.

Following the publication of the amended guidelines, the League received comments, concerns, and recommendations from aspiring applicants particularly on the implementation of several documentary and procedural requirements. Pursuant to the authority and mandate of the League of Student Organizations, and in the exercise of its commitment to uphold a fair, transparent, and responsive recognition process, the League deemed it necessary to withdraw the amended guidelines and reinstate the Academic Year 2024–2025 Guidelines and Criteria while the proposed revisions undergo further consultation and deliberation with the concerned stakeholders.

In response to these concerns, the LSO formally coordinated with the concerned University offices and secured the approval of two official request letters to make the application process more accessible while preserving the integrity of the selection process.

The Office of Student Affairs has been formally requested to prioritize the processing of Good Moral Certificate requests submitted by OSL applicants. Should the certificate not be released within the application period due to the standard processing timeline, applicants who have already filed their request may be allowed to submit their Good Moral Certificate on a to-follow basis upon its release, ensuring that no deserving applicant is disadvantaged by circumstances beyond their control.

Applicants shall initially submit soft copies of their official Rating Slips covering their First Year, First Semester up to their latest completed semester as part of their application. In lieu of requiring the immediate submission of a Certified True Copy (CTC) of Grades or an Official Transcript of Records (TOR), the OSL-OSC Committee, through the League of Student Organizations, shall formally endorse the submitted rating slips to the University Registrar for verification of the applicants' academic records.

The League of Student Organizations is now officially opening the Filing of Candidacy for the upcoming 𝗟𝗦𝗢 𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

🗓 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

All interested applicants are encouraged to submit their requirements within the given period. Step forward, take the lead, and be part of meaningful change in our organization.

a. Interested ACSO Presidents shall submit a Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to the Electoral Board a day prior to the scheduled day of Election, using the template provided by the Electoral Board.
b. All candidates that submitted their own Certificate of Candidacy will be regarded as self-nominated.
c. Requirements of the candidates must include the following:
i. Comprehensive Resume
ii. Latest Certificate of Registration
iii. Rating Slip Last Semester
iv. Good Moral issued by the Office of Student Affairs

Mainit na pagpupugay sa bawat estudyante, g**o, at kawani ng 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 na buong tapang na lumabas sa mga silid-aralan upang lumahok sa pambansang walkout laban sa korapsyon! sa bawat hakbang ninyo sa lansangan, umalingawngaw ang tinig ng sambayanang sawang-sawa na sa bulok na sistemang patuloy na nagpapahirap sa taumbayan

Ang presensya sa lansangan ay hindi lamang simpleng paglahok, ito ay patunay ng buhay at nag-aalab na diwa ng kabataang TUPian na handang manindigan, makibaka, at maglingkod sa bayan.

Sa panahong ang katotohanan ay binabaluktot at ang yaman ng bayan ay nilalapastangan ng iilan, naninindigan ang mga kabataan ng TUP na hindi kailanman mananahimik ang pinagsasamantalahan at sinisiil.

Ang panawagan ay hindi lang para sa isang araw ng pagkilos, kundi para sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-oorganisa, pag-aaral, at pagpakilos ng masa. TUPIANS, ang ating pagkilos ay hindi nagtatapos sa pagmartsa, ito ay simula ng mas matibay na pagkakaisa, mas matalim na kamulatan, at mas militanteng pagkilos ng kabataan. Huwag nating hayaang manatiling simbolo lamang ang ating mga plakard; gawin natin itong sandata ng patuloy na paglaban para sa sistemang tunay na makatao, makabayan, at demokratiko.

Ang sigaw sa lansangan ay dapat maging ugong ng pagbabago sa loob ng ating mga paaralan, sa mga komunidad, at sa bawat puso ng kabataan.

Ngayon, higit kailanman, kailangan ng bansa ang kabataang hindi takot magtanong, hindi takot magsalita, at higit sa lahat, hindi takot lumaban. Hindi kami papayag na maging produkto lamang ng isang sistemang korap at mapaniil.

Mabuhay ang kabataang Pilipinong magmamana ng bayan!

𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨, '𝐝𝐢 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐢𝐥 𝐤𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐨
𝑮𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝒌𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒂-𝑻𝑼𝑷!

Ang TUP Against Corruption (TUPAC) ay isang pang-unibersidad na grupong adbokasiya na isinusulong ang transparency (kalinawan), accountability (pananagutan), at integrity (katapatan) sa bansa. Ito ay binuo ng mga estudyante, g**o, at non-academic staff ng paaralan. Ang TUPAC ay isang alyansang naninindigan laban sa malawakang katiwalian sa bansa, partikular na ang korapsyon sa mga proyektong may kinalaman sa flood control projects.

Matatandaang sa National Capital Region (NCR) ang Maynila ang may pinakamalaking bilang ng Flood Control. Suma total ay mayroon itong 215 FCPs na nagkakahalagang P14.5 billion. Katumbas ito ng lampas sampu (10) kabuuang budget ng TUP system upang mapagana ang buong taon mula sa budget nitong P1.4 billion ngayong taon. Ang budget lamang ng Maynila ay kaya nang makapag-pagana ng lampas sampung (10) TUP system sa isang buong taon.

Ito ay kasabay ng report ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure kung saan lampas 400+ ng Flood Control Projects ay "ghost projects".

Nababahala ang komunidad ng TUP sa ganitong eskema ng pamamahala ng pondo ng taumbayan. Habang bilyong pondo ang ninanakaw sa bulsa ng mamamayan, bilyong pondo rin ang nawawala na sana ay nakalaan para sa pampublikong serbisyong makikinabang ang komunidad ng TUP.

Tuwing bumaha dulot ng korapsyon, ang mga g**o, estudyante, administrador, at non-academic staff ang pangunahing sumasalo sa klaseng ipipillit o ikakansela. Libong estudyante ang hindi nakakapasok, daang g**o ang hindi nakakapag-turo. Ang pondong nawawala, sa kabilang banda, ay malaking bilang na ng gusali, pasilidad, na maaaring pakinabangan ng komunidad ng TUP.

Nasa buong populasyon ng TUP ang lahat ng dahilan at kondisyon upang makisangkot sa laban ng mamamayan. Sa pakikisangkot sa laban hinggil sa korapsyon, ang tanging mawawala sa mga Haligi ng Bayan ay tanging kinabukasan nitong nakasalalay sa pondong ipinunla para sa kinabukasan--kinabukasang ninanakaw ng iilan.

Ipinapanawagan ng TUPAC sa lahat ng kapwa g**o, estudyante, administrador, non-teaching staff, organisasyon, konseho't publikasyon, na makiisa sa gaganaping National Day of Walkout sa biyernes, ika-17 ng Oktubre. Kaisa ang komunidad ng TUP sa mga pamantasan sa Taft, University Belt, Intramuros, at magkaiba pang panig ng NCR sa paglabas ng pamantasan upang tindigan ang laban ng mamamayan; para sa tao't bayang laban sa katiwalian.

Haligi ng Bayan, magkaisa! Lumabas ng apat na sulok ng pamantasan, gunitain ang laban ng mamamayan!

Mariing kinokondena ng League of Student Organizations (LSO) – TUP Manila ang isinagawang “National Security Seminar” sa loob ng unibersidad na pinangunahan ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) sa pakikipagtulungan ng NSTP Department. Sa naturang programa, nagtalumpati ang mga kinatawan ng militar at mga diumano’y “dating rebelde” na nag-uugnay ng mga progresibong organisasyon ng estudyante sa terorismo.

Bilang mga organisasyong nagsisilbing tunay na plataporma ng partisipasyon at pamumuno ng mga mag-aaral, naniniwala kami na ang ganitong aktibidad ay tahasang pumipinsala sa papel ng mga student organization sa pagtataguyod ng demokratikong espasyo sa unibersidad. Sa halip na tugunan ang matagal nang problema ng mga estudyante—tulad ng kakulangan ng silid-aralan at pasilidad, mataas na bayarin, at mga mapanupil na patakaran—inuubos ang oras at pondo sa pagpapakalat ng takot at pagpapatahimik sa aktibong partisipasyon ng kabataan.

Hindi rin ito hiwalay na pangyayari. Sa iba’t ibang pamantasan, isinagawa na rin ang mga katulad na forum na naglalarawan sa aktibismo bilang banta, imbes na kilalanin ito bilang makatuwirang paggamit ng karapatan ng mga estudyante. Lumikha ito ng kultura ng pangamba na naglalayong hadlangan ang sama-samang pagkilos ng kabataan.

Mahalaga ang mga student organization bilang katuwang ng pamantasan sa pagbibigay-serbisyo, pagpapalakas ng boses ng mag-aaral, at pagtataguyod ng makabuluhang partisipasyon. Ang pagsupil sa kanila sa pamamagitan ng red-tagging at pananakot ay hindi nakatutulong sa edukasyon—bagkus, pinahihina nito ang demokratikong kalagayan sa loob ng unibersidad.

Nanawagan ang League of Student Organizations sa administrasyon ng TUP na ituon ang atensyon sa mga kongkretong isyu ng mag-aaral sa halip na magbigay-daan sa mga programang nakabatay sa takot. Hinihikayat din namin ang lahat ng estudyante at mga organisasyon na manatiling mapagbantay at patuloy na makiisa sa mga organisasyong nagsisilbing tinig ng kanilang sektor.
