𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗨𝗖𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦

16-18 June 2026 – The Professional Engineering Training Division (PETD) of the UP National Engineering Center recently concluded the training on 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗣𝗠) at Seminar Room B, Juinio Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City. This second run, open to the public, was completed by 22 professionals involved in project management activities ranging from planning and implementation to monitoring, supervision, and evaluation.

Much like a 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩, the PM training was 𝙖 𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙖 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚. Conducted over three days, the workshop-intensive program equipped participants who are new to project management with knowledge and skills and helped experienced project leaders reassess and strengthen their current approaches.

The training was led by resource persons from the UP Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, namely Assistant Professor Erickson Llaguno and Instructor Paul Rainer de Villa. On the final day, Mr. Llaguno presided over the workshop presentations of five groups, evaluating their outputs and providing valuable feedback for further improvement.

𝗢𝗣𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘

5-7 May 2026 – The Professional Engineering Training Division (PETD) of the UP National Engineering Center recently concluded the 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗜𝗜 (𝗙𝗠 𝟯) training at Seminar Room A, Juinio Hall, UP Diliman, with 23 professionals attending.

As the third lecture series of the Professional Certificate in Facilities Management, FM 3 equips participants with a comprehensive discussion on facilities solutions and management competence for mechanical and electrical systems. The lecture-intensive training program was led by Engr. Rosendo C. Perez, Jr., Managing Director of Kilojoules Consultants Int’l. Co., and Engr. Rene B. Ong, President of Rene Electrical Technology Center.

During the program culmination, 18 participants received their Professional Certificate in Facilities Management after completing all three FM Series (I, II, III).

Director Rolando P. Martinez is one of our resource persons/lecturers for our Engineering Management (EM) and Project Management (PM) training programs. Congratulations, Sir Rolly!

PhilSA Director IV for Space Industry and Strategic Business Development Bureau (SISBDB), Rolando P. Martinez, has been conferred the Career Executive Service Eligibility (CESE) by the Career Executive Service Board on 04 June 2026.

Director Martinez also obtained one of the highest scores, with a rating of 91.77%, during the nationwide Career Executive Service Written Examination (CESWE) held last March 2025.

𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝗧𝗢 𝗗𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬

9-11 June 2026 – The Professional Engineering Training Division (PETD) of the UP National Engineering Center recently concluded the training on 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗣𝗠) at Seminar Room A, Juinio Hall, UP Diliman, Quezon City. The course brought together 30 professionals, mostly with technical and administrative responsibilities, who are involved in project development and evaluation.

Recognizing the need for project managers to improve productivity across industries, the PM training is designed to prepare people new to projects and to support experienced project leaders who need to reassess or strengthen their methods. Assistant Professor Erickson Llaguno and Mr. Paul Rainer De Villa, from the UP Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, served as the resource persons for the three-day training program.

Mr. Llaguno opened with the fundamentals of PM and principles in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). After laying the foundation, he discussed project selection and feasibility evaluation, project initiation, and project governance. Moreover, he handled the sessions on project human resource management, risk management, and project monitoring, control, and closing.

Mr. De Villa expounded on project planning, considering the following knowledge areas: scope, time, and cost. To complete a project, he stressed the importance of defining and managing only the work required, ensuring its completion according to the appointed timeline and within its allotted budget.

The workshop-intensive training program culminated with a final group presentation from six different groups, with Mr. Llaguno present to assess and provide invaluable comments and suggestions for improvement.
