In line with the announcement of the Local Governments of Manila and Quezon City suspending face-to-face classes in all levels due to the forecast of continued heavy to intense rainfall over Metro Manila, all onsite classes at PWU Taft and PWU-JASMS Manila and Quezon City shall shift to ONLINE MODALITY (synchronous or asynchronous) tomorrow, August 18, 2026.

Work operations at these campuses shall likewise shift to remote work arrangements. Except for critical administrative and maintenance services, all campuses will be closed.

The University shall continue to closely monitor the weather situation and issue further announcements, if necessary.

In light of the red rainfall warning issued by PAGASA over Metro Manila, classes in all levels (onsite or online) in all PWU and PWU-JASMS Campuses are hereby suspended effective 1pm today, Aug. 17.

Faculty are enjoined to exercise utmost leniency and not require submission of coursework until the weather situation improves.

Aside from essential facilities and maintenance services, offices in all PWU and PWU-JASMS campuses shall also be closed this afternoon.

Onsite Work Operations in all campuses shall also shift to remote work arrangements beginning at 12 noon today. Except for essential facilities and maintenance services, all campuses shall be closed this afternoon.
