The President of PAL ELES and select PNU graduate student-leaders from various organizations joined the Thailand-Philippines Bilateral Graduate Research Forum held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 22โ€“25, 2024. Organized by the Comparative Education Society and the Students' Critical Leadership Society, this transformative forum brought together scholars and educators from PNU-Manila, Mariano Marcos State University, Mindanao State University-Tawi-Tawi, PNU-South Luzon, and Kasetsart University. Participants engaged in benchmarking activities at renowned institutions, including Kasetsart University, Thammasat University, and Bangkok University. The event also featured research presentations and vibrant cultural exchange programs that enriched understanding and fostered collaboration. Through discussions on comparative education, leadership, and management best practices, this forum highlighted the importance of ASEAN partnerships in advancing education and academic excellence.

The Arts and Languages Cluster of the College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research (CGSTER), spearheaded by the Graduate Teacher Education Faculty (GTEF) and the PNU Applied Linguistics and English Language Education Society (PAL ELES), successfully conducted the recent extension activity at Banoyo Integrated National High School, San Luis, Batangas, on November 30, 2023, themed โ€œTeaching Reading in the 21st Century across Content Areas.โ€

The activity witnessed engaging discussions that delved into innovative teaching methodologies and approaches for effective reading instruction across various content areas. The resource speakers shared their expertise, providing valuable insights that will undoubtedly impact the teaching practices of secondary-level teachers.
