By just listening to the GPWS call out, are you enough to guess the manufacturer of this aircraft?

EASA AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
MAINLY AFFECTING THE AIRBUS A320 FAMILY

Inside the AD issued by EASA in collaboration with Airbus in response to an Airbus A320 aeroplane recently experienced an uncommanded and limited pitch down event.
The autopilot remained engaged throughout the event, with a brief and limited loss of altitude, and the rest of the flight was uneventful.

We are with the authority for this mandatory AD though there will be billions of losses with the airliners, is our priority. Better comply rather than regret in the future.

Philippine Airlines would like to inform our valued passengers that we have received a technical advisory from Airbus that will impact airlines worldwide operating certain models of Airbus A320/ A321 aircraft.

The technical advisory from Airbus requires an immediate software rollback. Considering the time required for the software rollback, airlines will be constrained to implement adjustments to flight schedules.

We are actively working to minimize the impact on your travel plans.

Your safety and comfort remain our highest priorities at Philippine Airlines.

For passengers with upcoming flights:

Please monitor your email and registered mobile number for advisories.

Regularly check the status of your flight by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com and visiting the Flight Status section at https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/flight-status, or by checking further advisories on our official PAL page at https://www.facebook.com/PhilippineAirlines.

Me while riding on a helicopter watching our route through flight radar but it looks like the app doesnโ€™t really show the accurate location of an aircraft by just looking at this screen recorder versus google maps. Who would you trust between the two?

Lets do altimeter read out again since there are few who answered our last read out question either too low or sometimes too high.

If you answered, 15,080 Feet you got it right! Congratulations!

For the second round, different face of Altimeter, Barometric set at standard barometric pressure,

What is my current altitude?

Comment down your answers!

โœˆ๏ธ Airspeed vs Ground Speedโœˆ๏ธ

When an airplane flies, it actually has two different speeds.

They might sound similar, but they measure two totally different things.

๐Ÿ›ฉ๏ธ AIRSPEED (Speed through the air)

Airspeed tells how fast the airplane is moving through the air around it.
Pilots use this to keep the aircraft flying safely โ€” it affects lift, takeoff, landing, and stall speed.

Think of riding a bike:
You feel the wind on your face even if youโ€™re not moving very fast across the ground.

๐ŸŒ GROUND SPEED (Speed over the ground)

Ground speed tells how fast the airplane is moving across the Earth.
This is the speed that affects your travel time โ€” how fast you get from one place to another.

This speed is mostly affected by the wind.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Example:

Letโ€™s say the airplaneโ€™s airspeed is:

โœˆ๏ธ Airspeed: 200 knots
(This is how fast it moves through the air.)

Now it gets a tailwind โ€” wind pushing it from behind:

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Tailwind: +50 knots

So the airplane moves faster across the ground:

โžก๏ธ Ground Speed = 250 knots

The airplane still โ€œfeelsโ€ like itโ€™s flying at 200 knots,
but it reaches the destination faster because the wind pushes it forward

In summary, Airspeed is how fast the plane moves through the air while Ground Speed is how fast it moves across the ground. Wind can make your ground speed faster or slower.

Thatโ€™s why flights sometimes arrive earlier (tailwind!) or later (headwind).

Pasay City - The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) clarifies that a circulating social media post alleging a โ€œnon-stopโ€ flights between the Bulacan Airstrip and Laoag Airport is inaccurate.

The Authority confirms that there are no special or unauthorized flight operations in either facility. All movements recorded in these airports are limited to regular and scheduled flights.

CAAP remains committed to maintaining transparent and accountable aviation operations, and encourages the public to rely only on verified information from official sources.
