The successful conclusion of Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (PUP JPIA) Manila's "ISKAisa: Project Dansayโ€ has given many wonders and inspiration to all JPIAns, bringing the community closer and inspiring everyone towards a much more inclusive future.

Made possible through the unyielding efforts of bright JPIA officers as its project heads, Micah Dayday, John Blaize Aguinaldo and Jazztine Althea Jimenez, and through the help of our benevolent sponsors and the cooperation of fellow JPIAns, this programme is victorious in its aim of celebrating diversity and inclusivity for everyone, regardless of gender, sexuality and physical status, through not just defining but rather embracing differences in everyone; through bringing together different identities, stories and voices of each and every individual in our society with a horizon brimming with acceptance, respect and true belonging.

Project: DANSAY has showcased many mind-opening and inspiring seminars, including "Sari-Sari, Sali-Sali: From Pride and Diversity to Shared Prosperity", which gave participants the knowledge to raise awareness, promote understanding and provide actionable plans and strategies to create supportive and inclusive environments for the LGBTQIA+ community everywhere; โ€œLAKANBini: The Filipina Way of Leading with Grace and Purpose", which has shown JPIA's gender equality in women's empowerment through highlighting their achievements, addressing sexuality barriers and inspiring collective action for gender inclusivity; and last but not least, โ€œAGAY-AY: Breaking Barriers, Building Freedom", which gave the attendees wisdom about the need for providing accessibility for persons with disabilities (PWDs) through breaking barriers and creating environments where PWDs can thrive.

Along with the motivating words of our honourable speakers, Mx Jed David D. Lim, Ms Christine Kaye H. Ico, and Mr Michael E. Agapay, together with the immense support from PUP Gender and Development Office, Project Dansay achieved its success by inspiring all individuals who attended to promote equality and inclusivity for everyone in society.

โ€œISKAisa: Project DANSAYโ€ and its successful conclusion serve as a wonderful hope to all women, PWDs, and members of the LGBTQIA+, especially those that constantly felt weak due to the stereotypes and marginalisations of the few, that they are equally capable and deserving of the rights of equality, inclusivity, and opportunity in our society. It also serves as a constant reminder that through our united and collective efforts, we can take simple steps โ€“ such as this programme โ€“ towards big changes in creating an environment that everyone can see and feel that they belong in โ€“ a future that can be truly called a better tomorrow.

A stunning success shines through different challenges as the ILUMHIRA Federation successfully concludes in "The Antlers Legacy: The Victory Within", a year-end celebration conducted by PUP JPIA Manila โ€“ the Most Prime Local Chapter in the Nation.

Headed by some of its finest executive officers such as Ms Karylle M. Gamboa, Frederic G. Carriedo and Karylle Gabrielle M. Ronquillo, together with the ever-supportive D&V Philippines, it aims to not just celebrate previous accomplishments but also pass a new legacy to continuing and future JPIAns.

The programme started in the morning, wherein all participants from different committees and departments, from officers to members alike, collaborated in different tasks and activities in preparing for the event. The morning session started after the preparations with the singing of the national anthem and the PUP hymn, followed by the introduction of our beloved hosts, Jazztine Althea Jimenez, Alfieri Baldeo, Jan Carlo Esmero, and Jianne Venice Cuevillas. After that, inspiring opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Mark Anecito R. Perlas, CPA, ASEAN CPA, and the adviser of PUP JPIA Manila, in which he stated, "At the end of the year, I'll be proud of what you achieved while you are part of this JPIA Federation."

After the encouraging words, the hosts introduce the honourable guest speaker, Ms Narene Nicolas, CPA โ€“ Chief Technological Officer and Vice President for Global Operations at D&V Philippines and also a PUP Manila alumnus โ€“ as she shares her extensive knowledge and inspiring advice about different qualities and examples of leadership & teamwork at the professional accounting level towards continuous improvement.

But the session does not conclude there yet, as a raffle is presented by our hosts wherein lucky JPIAns selected through drawlots are given generous prizes from our beloved sponsors such as mugs, mousepads, and tumblers, followed by the "State of the Federation Address" given by the PUP JPIA Manila Chapter President โ€“ the recently awarded NFJPIA- NCR Most Outstanding Local Chapter President Mr Jamez Hermo, in which he expressed his gratitude to his fellow officers and all JPIAns, stating, โ€œIt is not a report of our achievements, but the success of a federation year."

Through team building in the afternoon session, it helps improve understanding, resilience and problem-solving skills of our JPIAns. Moreover, other graduating officers of PUP JPIA Manila, such as Kathrinne Faye Mercado, Fred Carriedo and Alexandra Cuevas, expressed their sincerest gratitudes and encouraging words to the JPIAns carrying their legacy. Hence, with the delivery of excellence by the honourable Dean Noel A. Bergonia, MBA, LPT, CPA, ASEAN CPA, the event finally concluded with the farewell to the graduating officers and members and reminiscing about a successful ILUMHIRA Federation Year and looking forward more for the next.

This event symbolises that victory always comes through relentless efforts. Greatly symbolised by the JPIAns' resilience through different challenges and sleepless nights and symbolised by countless JPIAns' sacrifices towards the success of every event and activity, this shows a lasting impact to all continuing and upcoming JPIAns: that the Antler legacy of commitment will forever shine through not just today but also in the glorious future to come. Padayon, JPIAns!

Through Board Resolution No. 20, Series of 2026, the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (BOA) declared the revised table of specifications for the Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination starting in October 2029.

As cited in Section 9 (h) of the Republic Act No. 8981, known as the โ€œPRC Modernisation Act of 2000", the Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) are mandated to prepare a syllabus with the consultation of the academe in preparation of takers for every Licensure Examination (LE).

With the adaptation of the CPA Licensure Examination from this provision, its current syllabi will now cover refined subjects, adopting the countryโ€™s vision for a progressive system of competence.

Starting from CPALE October 2029, the former six (6) subjects of its examination will be retained, improved, and reversed.

Auditing (AUD) will be improved into Auditing and Attestation (AAT), Management Services (MS) reverted to Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR), and Taxation transformed into Tax Planning and Compliance (TAX).

The Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) will be enhanced, covering the former subject Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting (AFAR) with the removal of its previous content, such as partnership accounting and corporation liquidation.
