It's been a month and a half since we've posted in our page. We'll make it up to you by letting everyone join in and sign this petition about our main motif which is stopping the cap or stopping the fake news. Since COVID-19 is gradually getting worse, fake news can also cause more panic than it needs to be. With that, let us all join in and sign this petition of stopping the "infodemic". Let us all STOP THE CAP!

WHY SHOULD WE FACT CHECK?

The Capisce team only want the best for our netizens. With this in mind, we have made an infographic which contains 9 tips on how to fact-check every post or news that you may encounter whilst scrolling through your newsfeeds, hence that it will help to distinguish any false and misleading information that could make you a victim of fake news.

We must always keep these tips in mind and put them into practice, being that we are a responsible netizen of our country the Philippines.

Stop the cap, Capisce? 🧢

We all have heard or read of the phrase "stop the cap" when browsing the internet. It simply means "stop the lies", "stop lying", or stop giving false information.

The term "cap" was borrowed from the rap community, and its meaning was to imply a lie, with them saying "no cap" or no lies in order to boast or brag about their belongings not being fake or unreal.

Now, capisce is an Italian word which means "understand?" or "got it?". With these in mind, our group aims to "stop the cap" or stop all the lies and false informations which are widespread across the internet. We will serve as your proofreaders, fact-checkers and myth debunkers. You can also help us by following and sharing our page. Let us work together in "stopping the cap".
