Empowered, inspired, and ready to lead! ✨

Last April 30, 2026, our SSLG officers had the privilege to participate in the G-LEAD: Youth Leadership Training Seminar organized by JCI WoMandaue, held at the University of Cebu SHS Building. This experience gave us the opportunity to grow not only as student leaders but also as individuals who are committed to making a difference in our school community.

The seminar covered meaningful and timely topics such as the Introduction to AI, Public Speaking, Mental Health Awareness and Resilience, and Leadership and Service. Each session equipped us with valuable knowledge and skillsβ€”from understanding the role of technology in today’s world, to building confidence in expressing our ideas, and strengthening our mindset as resilient and compassionate leaders.

Beyond learning, we were inspired to reflect on our purpose as leadersβ€”that leadership is not just about positions, but about service, responsibility, and creating a positive impact. This experience reminded us that true leadership starts with ourselves and grows through our actions towards others.

We are truly grateful to JCI WoMandaue for this opportunity and to everyone who made this event possible. As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons we’ve learned, ready to lead with courage, integrity, and heart. πŸ’™

Informed Minds, Empowered Leaders ✨

Last April 29, 2026, our SSLG officers, together with W.A.T.C.H members of SY 2026-2027, actively participated in the β€œBe Informed, Be Educated: PAGPUKAW – HIV 101 Awareness Day” held at Maguikay National High School Gym.

As participants, we gained valuable insights about HIV awareness, including the facts about the virus, ways to protect our health, and the importance of breaking stigma through understanding and education. The seminar also encouraged us to become more responsible and informed individuals who can help spread awareness within our community.

This experience reminded us that being a leader is not only about guiding others, but also about continuously learning and taking part in initiatives that promote health, unity, and empowerment. As members of SSLG and W.A.T.C.H, we are committed to using what we have learned to educate others and make a positive impact in our school and community.

Together, let us continue to be informed, educated, and empowered. πŸ’™
