Let's look back on another meaningful day of learning, reflection, and growth during Day 2 of Paghilom 2026, held on June 2, 2026. โต๏ธ
On Day 2, we explored the importance of self-care and healthy boundaries, recognizing that we can only effectively support others when we also take care of ourselves. Participants also took part in simulation exercises that allowed them to apply Mental Health First Aid principles in realistic situations, strengthening their confidence and readiness to respond with empathy and care. ๐ซ
The training concluded with a meaningful debriefing session, where participants reflected on their experiences, shared their highlights from the two-day journey, and expressed how the training deepened their understanding of Mental Health First Aid. Through every activity, discussion, and shared story, we were reminded that support begins with understanding and grows through compassion.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the RTU Supreme Student Council and Mental Health Youth Hub PH for making this initiative possible, and to every participant who showed up with open minds, willing hearts, and a genuine commitment to learning how to care for others.
As Paghilom comes to a close, may the awareness we gained continue to guide our actions beyond these two days. For when ๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ก๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ takes root in our hearts, it blossoms into ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐๐โquietly reaching those who need it most. May we carry forward not only the knowledge we learned, but also the empathy, courage, and compassion to become a source of healing in our communities, one conversation and one act of kindness at a time. ๐๐
