Binondo, Manila
Escolta was the commercial hub in the early 1900s. During its heyday, most fashionable and trendy items were sourced here. People shopped for stylish apparel, swanky shoes, hard to find objects and voguish things in Escolta.
CREATIVES meet VINTAGE! Imagine artworks and antiques all housed in one charming relic from our past! The place to find these treasures is at the former location of the Berg’s Department Store. If you love artist-made merchandise, DIY stuff, independent labels, limited-edition handmade crafts and works of art… mark the date! If you like hunting for dated accessories, old-fashioned clothes, period posters or period pieces… this is for you!
SaturdayMarketXFutureMarket@ESCOLTA is the latest offering of 98B COLLABoratory in partnership with the First United Building (FUB) and the Escolta Commercial Association (ECAI). This event will surely enliven the area again. It is a bazaar, garage sale, thrift shop, black market and meeting place. Artists, craft makers and designers sell their wares: from artworks, limited edition shirts, hand-made clothes, books, bags, jewelry, accessories, toys, zines, CDs, stickers to one-of-a-kind merchandise. Hoarders and collectors are looking for new homes and owners for their pool of objects.
