Region 10 LEARNCON LEADRIGHT 2026: Empowering Young Leaders
The recently concluded LEARNCON LEADRIGHT 2026 was successfully held on August 10โ14, 2026 at Cha-li Beach Resort and Conference Center, Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, bringing together young leaders and student representatives from across the region for learning, leadership, and meaningful engagement.
Anchored on learner rights, youth leadership, participation, and protection, the event provided participants with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills while reflecting on their roles as representatives and advocates of their fellow learners.
The program featured lead talks and discussions on leadership and learner rights and protection, environmental stewardship, innovation, citizen science, youth participation in public service and policy, and youth-led initiatives. Participants also engaged in practical workshops on project pitching, public speaking, and effective communication, equipping them with skills they can apply in their schools and communities.
The open discussions and interactive activities provided a safe and engaging space for participants to exchange ideas, share experiences, and learn from one another. Recognition of resource persons, energizers, and fellowship activities further strengthened camaraderie among the young leaders.
More than a leadership training, LEARNCON LEADRIGHT 2026 became a space for young people to be heard, empowered, and inspired to take action. It reminded participants that leadership is not simply about holding a position, but about listening, serving, protecting the rights of others, and turning ideas into meaningful initiatives.
As the participants returned to their respective schools and communities, they carried with them not only new knowledge and skills, but also stronger connections, fresh ideas, and a renewed commitment to lead with purpose and make a positive difference in the lives of fellow learners.
