Joy, laughter, and warm smiles filled the day as our ASD and MD Classes celebrated the Christmas season together at the Special Education Center 💛

The celebration was made extra special with fun games, shared food, and heartfelt gift-giving that brought happiness to our learners. Seeing their excitement and genuine joy reminded us that Christmas is truly about love, inclusion, and togetherness.

Mambajao Central School Conducts Earthquake and Fire Drill

Mambajao Central School conducted an earthquake and fire drill on October 14, 2025, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness among students and personnel.

The activity was assisted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)–Mambajao, represented by FO3 Delmer Ray Valmores, FO2 Angelou Honculada, and SFO1 Jhelou Parker Cagulada, who demonstrated proper evacuation and fire safety procedures.

School Principal Reme C. Rufino, together with teachers and student respondents, participated actively in the drill. The BFP officers guided everyone through step-by-step procedures to ensure readiness in case of an actual earthquake or fire emergency.

DRRM focal person Risa Fe Cullano led the student responders, demonstrating basic rescue and evacuation techniques to ensure safety and quick response during disasters.

"This activity is a crucial part of our DRRM program, ensuring that our learners and teachers are prepared to respond effectively during emergencies,” Principal Rufino emphasized.

The drill strengthened the school’s partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection and highlighted the importance of awareness, preparedness, and coordinated response during disasters.

SNED Learners Shine in Sign Language Contest at Division Festival of Talents

Learners from the Special Needs Education (SNED) program of Mambajao Central School proudly showcased their talents and inclusivity as they participated in the Sign Language Contest during the Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) held at Yumbing National High School.

With dedicated judges, Ma. Veronica Senogbohan, Lo**ta Dagondon and Julieta Alima, the SNED learners demonstrated their skills in sign language interpretation, emphasizing both expressive communication and cultural appreciation for inclusivity in education.

The contest highlighted the significance of providing platforms for learners with diverse needs to participate in academic and cultural activities. Ms. Senogbohan expressed her pride in the participants, noting that “this experience builds confidence and empowers our learners to show that their abilities can truly inspire others.”

The involvement of SNED learners in DFOT also reflects the continuing efforts of the Department of Education to promote inclusive education and celebrate the unique skills of every learner.

The participants’ performance was met with praise and admiration from teachers, parents, and fellow students, proving that talent knows no limits.
