The Statistical Society proudly attended the “SAGiP CPR: Hands-Only CPR Training” conducted earlier at the Kalinangan Auditorium. The seminar covered essential topics such as how the heart works, what happens during sudden cardiac arrest, and how to properly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Participants also had the chance to perform hands-only CPR on mannequins, gaining practical experience that highlighted the importance of immediate response in saving lives.
Beyond the technical knowledge, the event served as an eye-opening reminder of how preparedness and awareness can make a life-changing difference. It was truly inspiring to see both students and community members come together with one shared purpose, to promote heart health and learn life-saving skills that empower us to care not just for ourselves, but for others as well.

SDG 2: Zero Hunger
Why should we care?
We all want our families to have enough food to eat what is safe and nutritious. A world with zero hunger can positively impact our economies, health, education, equality and social development.
It’s a key piece of building a better future for everyone. Additionally, with hunger limiting human development, we will not be able to achieve the other sustainable development goals such as education, health and gender equality.
