We are honored to welcome Engelbert Calimlim Pasag, PhD, Vice President for Internationalization of Panpacific University, as one of the distinguished speakers at ASEAN LINKAGES 2026: Linking International Networks and Knowledge Avenues for Graduate Education Synergies.

Dr. Pasag will deliver a presentation titled:
“Language and Culture Program as a Bridge to Graduate School Internationalization”
His presentation will highlight how language and culture programs can strengthen international engagement, foster meaningful academic connections, and create pathways for advancing the internationalization of graduate education.

The RISE (Research into Scholarly Expression) Extension Program, a partnership between the BulSU Graduate School and the DepEd Schools Division of Bulacan, successfully achieved its capacity-building and journal-establishment objectives through three days of productive engagement held on September 4, 10, and 11, 2026, at the BulSU E-Library.

The extension program provided a progressive learning and development pathway from defining the identity and editorial foundations of the proposed journal to understanding its legal, ethical, quality, and indexing requirements, and finally, to translating these foundations into a digital publishing and editorial workflow.

Through this initiative, a substantial foundation has been established for the Schools Division of Bulacan to move toward the actual establishment, implementation, and eventual publication of its own research journal.

Congratulations to the DepEd Schools Division of Bulacan, its Focal Person for Research, Ma’am Maribel Perez, and the select members of the DepEd Bulacan Editorial Board on the successful completion of this meaningful initiative.

The BulSU Graduate School extends its sincere appreciation to Dean Dr. Eugene B. Mutuc, Dr. Joseline Santos, Prof. Yolanda C. Roberto, Dr. Ron Antonio, Sir Alex Borromeo, and Atty. Ronald Tuazon from BulSU and Dr. Allen Paul Esteban from NEUST for sharing their time, expertise, and valuable insights in making this initiative a success.

Together, we continue to strengthen research capacity, scholarly communication, and a culture of research excellence through meaningful academic partnerships.
