Who will protect the forest?

is primarily an ecowatch with key objectives of influencing public policies and public opinion regarding the environmental issues and concerns at Ipo Watershed through relevant and focused yet diverse programs and activities, to wit some:

(1) environmental actions such as the adoption of a flagship one-hectare site for rainforestation;
(2) surveys and documentation;
(3) preparation of periodic report on the state of the watershed;
(4) research based projects;
(5) writing letters to leaders and other stakeholders; and
(6) information and education campaigns.

abides with the principle that reforestation is futile if there is no comprehensive and effective forest protection.

Without forest protection, reforestation is only a Band-Aid measure. If you’re reforesting on one side of the forest while the other side is burning, what’s the point?

The Ipo watershed's 6,600 hectares of forest provides fresh water to more than 11 million people in Metro Manila by generating water that flows to the Ipo Dam and then to La Mesa Dam.
