What is the biggest advantage of a 1-on-1 class? ☝️

Their, there, and they're - these words are pretty confusing to differentiate from the other. And guess what? They are all pronounced the same way. 🤯

Homophones are words that sound the same, but have different meanings and spellings. Understanding homophones is an essential part of mastering the English language, both for vocabulary building and spelling.

They can be very tricky to use for some people. Native English speakers often grasp the concept of homophones with minimal effort, but students learning English as a second language may need extra practice.

THERE are three in particular that commonly confuse people. THEY'RE very tricky, in part because of THEIR usefulness, which means that we call on them over and over in our writing here and there.

✔️ "Their" is a possessive pronoun, as in "their car is red".
✔️ "There" can be used as an adjective, "he is always there for me," a noun, "get away from there," and, chiefly, an adverb, "stop right there"
✔️ "They're" is a contraction of "they are," as in "they're getting married."

A pangram is a sentence in which every letter of the alphabet is used. The name was derived from two Greek root words. "Pan" means "all," and "gram" means "something written," so all written letters are referred to as "Pangrams."

Could you come up with a pangram? It may appear to be simple. However, you can't just throw any words together! A pangram must be a complete sentence. That is, it must have a subject and a predicate. A subject is the noun that a sentence is about. The predicate provides information about the subject. A pangram must be both complete sentences.
