Overcoming Your Language Learning Plateau

Sometimes you reach a point in your IELTS preparation wherein you seem to have stopped improving in spite of all your efforts to improve your band score. You are, for instance, stuck in band score 6.5 and your target score is 7.0. That is called a learning plateau.

Learning plateau happens when you have set yourself just some basic goals. Your target may simply be just improving your grammar, which you have already done. Your grammar is impeccable! Perhaps, what you really need to do is to improve task fulfillment or coherence and cohesion.

In order to get past your plateau, we suggest you talk to an experienced IELTS teacher who can help you identify your areas for improvement, and who can help you set fresh, clear goals. Do this and you will improve in no time.

IDP or British Council?

How are you all doing? For those who are searching for information about IELTS, we are sure that you have encountered the question, which is better, IDP or British Council, or where should I take the test?

You might have read about some people saying that one is better than the other because it gives higher scores. This post will help you clarify on that. Experts in the IELTS preparation industry say two things:

First, there is no difference between the IELTS test at the British Council or IDP. Second, there is no difference between examiners and marking in the British Council and IDP.

Remember, wherever you take IELTS, your scores should be pretty much the same. So go ahead and schedule your exam today.
