You may have noticed that some of the mantónes featured in our "Mezcla" exhibition include stunning examples of macramé decoration! Macramé is a centuries-old method of knotting cords or thick threads into a geometric pattern to create shapes.

I would definitely miss cotton-abaca banknotes/bills.

Hello everyone! Along with a bunch of other Makers, Rope Republic will be joining an Instagram Pop Up tomorrow night (November 21), from 6-9 PM.
You can follow the hashtag to see the different products Makers are selling, with a portion of the proceeds going to typhoon relief efforts through and . We’ll also be reaching out to friends and craft fair neighbors who’ve been affected by the flood.
For the Pop Up, I have three (3) plant hangers on hand and I’m opening five (5) slots for custom-made macrame plant hangers. I’ll be donating half of all sales to the pop up cause.
Why just limited quantities? And why plant hangers only? I am currently based in the province and I do not have access to a lot of crafting materials. Shipping is also a consideration.
*If shipping is affordable and I can source dowels and drift wood, I can also accept custom-order wall hangings.
*Shipping of items will be will every Thursdays.
*All custom orders placed and paid for on or before November 30 will be considered for the Pop Up.
