Mrs. Leticia Fernandez Aguilar, an educator "par excellence" has been at the helm of Calauag Central College during the last half century. With her vision and foresight, she has guided CCC of what it has become..... one of the leading educational institutions in the country today. We wish her well in the years to come.
Wally B. Estrada, CCC Batch ‘54
She was already a good teacher on her first year as educator. We were her first batch of students and she was only a few years older than most of us. She immediately became a bridge - the conduit - that united faculty and students. She introduced the concept of Rigodon de Honor and Junior Senior Prom, two important activities that etched beautiful memories in our young hearts. Just like fine wine, Miss Letty Fernandez had matured from a great teacher to an excellent administrator. Mabuhay ka, Mrs. Aguilar.

Dear ma'am Leticia, you've been so much more than a teacher to us - you've been our mentor, our support, our guide and our inspiration. As students, many teachers and educators will pass through our lives without remembrance. Yet, a special few will leave a lasting impression. On behalf of Batch 1999, a big "Thank you!" from all your students and for being one of the special educators who will live on forever in the minds and hearts of students (new and old) whose lives you have touched

I have always believed that one becomes a good teacher because of a very good teacher. And I believe I am one because of the great influence of a great teacher named LETICIA FERNANDEZ AGUILAR. No one will argue if I say that Ma’am Letty, as she is fondly called, is an icon of a teacher. Through the years, she has molded thousands of students to make them be where they are now. She manifests not only true passion for teaching but compassion as well. She may exude strict personality but deep inside, she’s got the heart of a marshmallow. Here is one teacher who deserves a grand salute .
AMELITA ORINAS BALAGTAS, CCC Batch ‘63
Mrs. Leticia F. Aguilar, who is fondly called Tita Letty by many, can be aptly considered an “Educator at Heart”. Through the years, she has remarkably demonstrated not in words alone but in deeds, the real meaning of teaching as a vocation, a mission and a profession. Within the four walls of the classroom, she has been an instrument of inspiration by radiating wisdom, sympathy and understanding to her students. As a daughter of one of the founders of Calauag Central College, she has continued the legacy of her father, the late Mr. Jose E. Fernandez. As an administrator, she has significantly contributed to the uplift of this venerable institution of learning. In its 85 years of fruitful existence the school can take pride of having produced quality graduates who have distinguished themselves in their chosen careers particularly in the teaching profession. In view of the foregoing, it is but fitting and proper to give our appreciation and due recognition to our awardee, who is considered the pride, not only of Calauag Central College, but of the town of Calauag and the province of Quezon as well.
