Had to deal with a long drive due to traffic in order to visit a gym where my former Physical Therapist mentor at Heatlhcube ,started training at.
Fightyard Rizal with the Sat. class led by Coach who was very generous in teaching as well as super welcoming.
This kind of freedom in training, (despite the struggles in travel) is refreshing!
You get to reconnect with former mentors and meet amazing jiu jitsu practitioners!

The highlight of my ACU visit was of course visiting the Sport and Exercise Science Department.
Great thanks to Course Administrator for Master of High Performance Sport, Paul Tofari, PhD, for touring me around the Sport Science Facilities.
I was able to see the exercise science laboratory with VALD force plates and Nordic machine.
First time as well to see a DEXA Scanner!- the gold standard in Body composition measurement.
Research room 1 with three dimensional Force Plates.
Research room 2 with a motorized treadmill and multiple video cameras around the room for analysis.
Beside this research room, although I wasn’t able to take pictures were the VO2 testing and isokinetic machines.
Also, got the chance to see and throw bricks in the ACU rooftop basketball court 🤣.
Lastly, also got to check out the post graduate lounge for Masters and PhD students.

Congrats Coach Mike for achieving an amazing BJJ community near Lalor.
I saw how much you operate as a Coach and it was very eye opening. I was able to see why you have produced such high level BJJ kids into International level athletes.
