Job Description
The work is focused on educational measurement, not clinical diagnosis or therapy. This role is ideal for someone with a background in psychometrics, educational assessment, psychological testing, curriculum alignment, or quantitative research.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and review Q-matrices for K–12 assessments.
• Map test items to learning competencies, cognitive skills, prerequisite skills, and domain-specific attributes.
• Review whether each item-attribute mapping is clear, defensible, and instructionally meaningful.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Registered Psychometrician (RPm), board passer, or candidate with strong psychometrics training.
• Strong understanding of psychological testing, educational assessment, or test construction principles.
• Familiarity with item analysis, reliability, validity, test fairness, and measurement concepts.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Psychometrics, Education, Statistics, Mathematics, Science Education, Educational Measurement
Experience Requirements
1-3 years of experience reviewing Q-matrices
