Ma’had Bagan Darulhuda Al Islamie, founded on April 18, 1997, was established by Dawi L. Salik, Al Hadj with the objective that the children in the community and the nearby areas will have the opportunity to learn Islamic teachings and Arabic language alongside their public school education. The madrasah then has only one (1) building and a mosque situated in the lot owned by Salik Abag. It was funded solely by contributions from family, friends and supporters. With the hope of achieving the holistic development of the Bangsamoro children, the remaining siblings and relatives formally organized the Board of Trustees upon the death of Dawi L. Salik, Al Hadj. The name was changed to Ma’had Bagan Darulhuda Islamic Institute Inc. and it was registered with the Security and Exchange Commission with SEC REG No: 2021050014779-13 on May 25, 2021.
