ONLY 18 OUT OF 100 STUDENTS FINISH COLLEGE.

Let that sink in.

According to Kiko Benitez, 82% of Filipino students who start Grade 1 will not reach and finish college.

That means out of 100 children entering school today, only about 18 will eventually graduate from college.

The question is not just why this happens.

The real question is:
What happens to the other 82?

This is where Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) comes in.

Not every path to success requires a college diploma.

Many students can build stable and successful careers through technical-vocational skills, such as:

🔧 Electrical installation
👨‍🍳 Culinary and food services
🛠 Automotive technology
💻 ICT and digital skills
🏗 Construction trades

For some learners, skills training may be the faster, more practical path to employment and financial stability.

Education should not be a one-size-fits-all road.

Sometimes the best question we can ask students is not:

"Will you go to college?"

But rather:

"What skills will help you build a better future?"

Because success has many doors, not just one.
