Doña Pilar L. Marfori Elementary School Marks Milestone in Campus Journalism Journey 😊
Doña Pilar L. Marfori Elementary School proudly participated in the Davao City Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) and successfully moved on to the second round of the competition, showcasing its talented young writers in editorial writing, column writing, and feature writing.
This achievement is a meaningful milestone for the school community, as it highlights the growing confidence, creativity, and journalistic potential of our learners. While the team did not advance to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), their journey reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to campus journalism and student empowerment.
Behind every accomplishment is a team of dedicated individuals, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our coaches, who tirelessly guided and inspired our young journalists throughout the competition. We also recognize the learner-writers, whose perseverance, long hours of practice, and openness to learning made this accomplishment possible. Their hard work is something we can all be proud of.
We are equally grateful to our stakeholders and parents whose continued support fuels the school’s journalism initiatives. The contribution of the ₱60 campus journalism fee, along with other forms of assistance, helped ensure that our learners were equipped and registered to participate. Your commitment enables us to keep programs like campus journalism alive, meaningful, and inclusive for all students.
Success is not only measured by medals or rankings, it is also measured by growth, courage, and the willingness to try. This experience has strengthened the confidence of our learners and opened new doors for learning, collaboration, and creativity.
This may not have been our year at the RSPC level, but it is certainly a milestone worth celebrating.
