Palale Elementary School

Palale Elementary School Palale Elementary School was established in 1950’s. The school is located west of National Highway, east of San Juan St. Super typhoon Yolanda came.

north of the Provincial Road and south of the rice field. The school has 394 population distributed among 14 classes, 16 energetic teachers, manned by a principal and a watchman. It has 15 classrooms, a Principal’s Office, Math Centrum, Reading Room, E-Room, Science Room, H.E., Clinic, Conference Hall and a functional library donated by a kind hearted citizen from the community. Moreover, other ph

ysical facilities such as the playground, Math Park, Science Park, Makabayan Park, stage and a vast plaza made the ambiance of the school comfortable for the learners to stay. Furthermore, the school provides excellent learners academically. Its remarkable achievement was being top 1 in the NAT 2012 in Leyte Division. The school also excels in extra- curricular activities like sports, in fact, the school’s delegation in softball and baseball made to provincial meet for the past 2 years 2011, 2012 AND 2015. An athlete from the athletics event made it to Palarong Pambansa in the year 2012. Another remarkable achievement was being the champion of the Bagacay Festival 2012, 2013 AND 2015 during the town’s Founding Anniversary. The school turned miserable because of the damages to its physical facilities. However, there were individuals with golden hearts and helping hands from various organizations that helped the school get over from the effect made by the said disaster. In terms of socio-economic status, majority of the learners belong to families whose means of livelihood of parents depend mostly on coconut and rice farming. But then, these means of livelihood of the parents were greatly affected by typhoon Yolanda, paired by the increase of prices of commodities in the market made their way of living a difficult one. So, number of families decided to move to other places for better way of living. With this, the school’s enrolment decreased.
