MNHS Participates Fire Preparedness Symposium

Mabini, Davao de Oro | The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) leads a Fire Drill Symposium at the Activity Center of Mabini National High School on August 14, 2026, to strengthen students' awareness during fire incidents.

The activity brought together the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP), who were oriented to proper safety measures, emergency response procedures, and preventive practices. Also, the participants took part in a simulation demonstrating the standard operating procedure in fire incident situations.

BFP personnel SF01 Robert P. Bontog highlighted the rationale and intent of implementing the safety measures among students.

"The purpose of this symposium is to let the children in school be aware of the steps to take during fire cases, and to apply the learnings they have in preventing fire from happening", Bontog shared.

With this activity, students from Mabini National High School exercise their knowledge on controlling the fire to prevent it from spreading and make multiple destructions of property.

PEER COUNSELORS ORG SETS UP CAMPUS ANONYMOUS CONFESSION FOR MABINIANS

Mabini National High School students participated in the launching of the Campus Anonymous Confession Activity organized by the Peer Counselors Organization on August 13, 2026, at the Mini Forest, Mabini National High School.

The activity provides learners with a safe and confidential avenue to express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions anonymously.

Merlyn Mende, Moderator of the Peer Counselors Organization of Mabini National High School, emphasized the purpose of initiating the Campus Anonymous Confession Activityโ€”to help learners ease emotional burdens and develop strategies to overcome their struggles.

"Our peer counselor were oriented about their task as service provider to those learners that seek attention...depressed and emotionally unstable... their functions are to help by talking, sharing, and lifting the students' emotions; but with confidentiality", Mende shared.

Through this initiative, the organization aims to strengthen its support for learners while upholding its tagline, โ€œWE DARE BECAUSE WE CARE.โ€

As part of the activity, learners are given a question each day and are encouraged to freely share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings by writing them on a piece of paperโ€”anonymously and without judgment.

MABINI, Davao de Oro โ€” Students of Mabini National High School (MNHS) savor a delightful surprise on August 7, 2026, as Aice Ice Cream Philippines โ€“ Tagum Branch visited the school to distribute free ice cream and notebooks, bringing smiles and refreshment to learners amidst their busy academic schedules.

The outreach activity aimed to give students a well-deserved treat during their long hours in school. Hundreds of learners happily received ice cream, creating an atmosphere of excitement and appreciation across the campus.

According to Ma'am Arlyn Morales Gonzales, Dealer/Office Staff of MZ Aice Ice Cream Tagum Branch, the initiative was inspired by the company's desire to bring joy to students who rarely get the opportunity to enjoy ice cream while attending classes.

"Ang goal sa Aice Ice Cream, dili man gud pwede ang ice cream sa school, so ang amoang gusto is at least man lang makatilaw sila during sa ilang oras sa klase sa tibuok adlawโ€”at least man lang once in eight hours," she shared.

The simple yet meaningful gesture brightened the students' day, proving that even small acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact. Beyond satisfying their sweet cravings, the activity served as a reminder that community partners continue to support the well-being and happiness of learners.

On behalf of the entire Mabini National High School community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Aice Ice Cream Philippines and MZ Aice Ice Cream Tagum Branch for their generosity and commitment to making students' school experience even more memorable.
