The term “Pax Silica” has gained prominence in recent news and discussions. But what exactly is it, and why does it matter to us Filipinos?

To help answer these questions, we, the 4th Year AB Philosophy and AB English students, would like to share this infographic as part of our task in Ed El 4 – Educational Technology. It explores what Pax Silica is, why it was created, the Philippines’ role in the initiative, the opportunities it may bring, and the concerns surrounding its proposed hub.

Here at the Liberal Arts Department, we don't just read literature, analyze ideas, or recite the preamble a hundred times. We also know how to have fun and embrace the beautiful complexities of life.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The Saint Joseph College—College of Liberal Arts held their first general assembly on July 21, 2026, at the Tagnipa Gym, Tagnipa, Maasin City.

The department started their activity with a Holy Mass at the SJ Chapel presided over by Rev. Fr. Jersen Jerome Paler, wherein he emphasized the significance of what it means to be a family.

After the Holy Mass, the department then proceeded to the venue, wherein the respective instructors for the department were introduced along with the freshman students of the department. Students who made it into the Dean's List were also recognized for their effort during the event. The department's governor, Mr. Manuel Francis Corollo, along with the department's vice governor for academics, Ms. Czel Alyssa Galano, reintroduced the department's rules and bylaws to its members.

The afternoon was filled with joy as laughter echoed throughout the venue as the department had their meet-and-greet with the freshmen and the old students. The competitive spirit of each student was also ignited as they competed in the parlor games and trivia questions prepared by the department dean and officers.

At the end of the day, the department's First General Assembly was a tremendous success. All thanks to the everyone's joint cooperation.
